Say Hello To Suesse (Puppy Pics No 56K) Updated 20 Feb 09

Post by Aaron »

We went to visit the puppy we picked out last week today and took some pics. She's a Golden Doodle, half Standard Poodle/half Golden Retriever. She is around 12 weeks old at the moment and she comes home for good on 20 Feb.

Interesting mix. Is it going to stay poodle sized or will it get Sheppard big? And pretty eyes!

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.

No, she'll get to be about 70-80 pounds and depending on how much of her father she has (the poodle) she might stand about three feet or so at the chest. So around the size of a Sheppard.

Adorable. You must have skills that I don't, because every time I try to take pictures of my dog, all I get is a giant nose. (Unless he's sleeping, that is.)

Ever seen a Standard Poodle?

Imagine something that looks like those wee fluffy things, but is the length of a German Shepherd and about a head taller.

They're not small dogs in the slightest.

Huh. Learn something new every day. I always thought they were those tiny little yappy dogs.

The name is very appropriate for your dog. :)

It means "cute" or "beautiful" in German, right?

Cute, yes. "Süße" (or anglicized suesse; literally: "sweetie") is quite a popular tearm of endearment in Germany. It can mean cute, cutie or sweetie as well as sweet thing etc.
