but it's a complete suck compared to the power you can get out of a 13B...tim31 wrote:RX-8 company car, riot! Good thing the RENESIS is more efficient that earlier 13B engines...!
Nah, not lately. I've been doing some fuel efficiency experiments, and I've gotten it to about 22 mpg overall by employing various tricks. More coasting before a stop, keeping the engine at under 2500 rpm on the highway, shifting at 3000 rpm when driving around town and no engine breaking. They make a pretty big difference.aerius wrote:Durandal's probably flogging his new ride like a car magazine test driver, so I'm betting his overall fuel mileage is likely in the teens.
I should hope the engine isn't breaking...Durandal wrote:...and no engine breaking. They make a pretty big difference.

It's a Ferrari, so most people get it in red.[R_H] wrote:Why is silver a rare colour?
It's not silver, it's actually a light silverish blue. Really nice colour, I can't say I've seen that colour on any other car.[R_H] wrote:Why is silver a rare colour?
No engine braking? You mean that improves fuel efficiency? I've heard that modern cars atleast use engine braking to keep the engine rotating without using fuel so it'd use less fuel to slow down using engine braking than depressing the clutch and letting it coast.Durandal wrote:no engine breaking. Wow, it looks like your Trans Am is still in mint condition. It's a beautiful car and I hope you can hold onto it and keep it in good condition for many years to come. His Divine Shadow wrote:Well, here is a slightly bad picture of my car I took a few years ago when on vacation in Åland, it's impractical, huge and fast but fun. Yeah, I don't think those seats are stock either!Phantasee wrote:FAT tires! That's the thing about custom jobs, they take all the badges off usually... although I'm a little surprised they didn't just shave off the door handles while they were at it
Very nice, and always a pleasure to see one in a color other than the usual red.aerius wrote:F430 in a pretty rare colour.
