Is it just me or is DarkStar deliberately pushing Mike's buttons? I mean, between the "Creationist scattergun" shots, the "Racist black knight pics" shots, the "Wong uses appeal to authority" shots, etc., he's calling Mike all the things that Mike tends to attack: creationists, racists, fallacious debaters (especially appeals to authority).

And he appears to be doing to same to MoO (though I haven't looked too deeply into it)

I have been kicking the asses of those morons for months now, recently t has been very quiet in there after the Smackdown i delivered to Virus-X and SlobbaTheHutt.Now only relytdol and a few more morons post there.

Actually educating those poor souls was a lot easier than teaching the morons at SWG forums since Pepito and the other fucktards understood pretty quickly that the fact that TLs have the word laser in them doesnt make them lasers and some other moronic claims that i rebutted.

Actually, I would say that he is simply accusing everyone else of that which he happens to do himself. The irony of him writing diatribe after diatribe about how I dishonestly use personal attacks in lieu of on-topic debate is obviously lost on him.

I see Virus X is posting there. I sparred with him on Yahoo, he was fond of the idea that if it's called a laser, it must BE a laser. He stuck to this, no matter how much evidence was thrown at him.

Good. If that's his "reasoning", then explain to him that a phaser rifle must be a projectile weapon with grooves cut into the barrel, because it's called a "rifle". Also point out that since the TM makes reference to blueprints, they must be using vellum paper and ammonia-based drawing reproduction methods (since that's where the term "blueprint" came from), so they haven't yet discovered photocopiers. Moreover, point out that all of the gravitic bullshit with respect to impulse drive is obviously wrong, since an "impulse" drive must function on purely Newtonian principles. And finally, point out that a photon torpedo must be a laser because photons are pure light, and a photon torpedo must therefore be made of photons.

I tried the photon argument, to no avail. Also pointed out that we call hoovers vacuum cleaners, or even just vacuums, but that doesn't mean we're 'holding' vacuum. Also pointed out that a microwave oven is commonly called a microwave, but that doesn't mean we are putting our food into an invisible part of the electromagnetic spectrum. Again, to no avail.

On a side note Mike, did you get that email about the security certificate for the alternate link to the message board?

My absolute favorite part is his selection of evidence. He posted something on planetary shields, saying that the one on Hoth was totally different from the one on Endor, and used EGWT as a ref. The thing is, EGWT specifically says they are the same.

Then he used the 1KT SWTJ yield, but proclaimed that the DS only shot 2E32 joules even though the TM also says it vapes the planets, and would be 1E42 joules. Plus if you pulled out ICS, he just kept repeating the 1 kt torp.

Well, there is a small difference. The Endor shield covered the whole planet.

I guess the idiot doesn't realise that a large ground based or capital ship based weapon will easily have a larger yeild that a fighter based anti-fighter weapon.

Jango Fett begs to differ, his missle was (almost) quite adequate for destroying Obi-Wan's fighter. 190MT is probably no where NEAR as powerful as the Accy's torps either.
