Tear Up Kent Hovind
I don't even know where to start with this guy -- he's hilarious! Classic Creationist pseudoscience.
Example: This guy claims that the Geologic Column doesn't work because 1. The dates of the strata are based on the index fossils found in them, and b. the dates of fossils are extrapolated from the strata they were found in, and 3. radiometric dating requires a form be filled out specifying both in order to establish a date range. WTF?! Obviously, that isn't how dating works.

He's so bad, even other creationists treat him as a liability.

What did he assault, besides common sense and logic?Einhander Sn0m4n wrote:Assault Charges?! W00T!
Anyway, many of his arguments are ewasily refutable, and some don't even prove a young universe (For example, I believe one of his arguments was that the oldest tree is only about 5500 years old)

I can find the official documentation for you, but basically the story goes like this. Old "Dr." Dino found out that the tenant he was renting an apartment to had a live-in boyfriend. When an angry argument broke out, the tenant shut the door in Hovind's face. He angrily barged in through the locked door, and attacked her boyfriend. The fight was on, and the girl called the police. Hovind was arrested and charged.
He apparently thought that, because it was his apartment, he could barge in whenever he pleased.

Well, that's where Hovind would be (once again) wrong. As any decent landlord knows, you have to get permission to enter. What a dipshit. And what did he do it over? An extramarital relationship?! I could see where he could have taken action legally -- get him on the lease or get him out of the apartment. That is legal. Ugh... see sig, line 2.

There is no point in tearing up Hovind's arguements. This is because they are so mind boggling stupid.
Attacking all of Hovind's worthless arguements would be like shipping an entire armor division half way around the world just to run over a grass hut.

Yes, but doesn't Hovind never give up his arguments, and repeats them ad nauseum, making it impossible for him to concede? They are weak, but with the support of a Wall of Ignorance, become impossible to demolish despite thier weakness.Wicked Pilot wrote:There is no point in tearing up Hovind's arguements. Unlikely, DW. He will, however, undoubtedly argue that it's not a law -- it's "Only a theeeeory!" ROFLMAO!!!Darth Wong wrote:I look forward to him telling the judge that he only recognizes God's law, not American law.Superman wrote:I can find the official documentation for you, but basically the story goes like this. The police report for the entire event is online somewhere... When I find it I will post the link. Anyway, the reporting officer repeatedly referred to Hovind as "Dr." Hovind. Unless the cop actually knew who he was, and believed his nonsense, Hovind must have introduced himself as "Dr." Hovind! HAHA

I should try to get a degree from Patriot University for my dog Fuzzy. Wouldn't it be a hoot if he actually got one?

That would be a great thing to say during a public debate with this man, too!
Debater: "And where did you get your doctorate, "Dr." Hovind?
Hovind: From Patriot University.
Debater: "Oh, you mean the same place that gave my cat a Ph.D? Like this one here" (Pulls out cat's doctorate)
Hovind: "Errr... yes...
