I'm baaaaaack

Post by Coyote »

Hello all!

Just got back from "Sunny" Seattle area, actually Fort Lewis, a couple days ago. I was there for a course sponsored by the US Army Reserves and I am now a better NCO for it.

Actually, the training was very good and helpful, and best of all the people I was assigned with were almost all very intelligent, dedicated, and professional people. We only had one truly hosed-up individual, and she was booted from the course after the first week. Those of us that stayed and completed everything had an ass-kicking time and also enjoyed some great field time.

I finished the course and stayed in the Seattle are for awhile only to get treated to the hideous tregedy of the Shuttle disaster as I was getting ready to leave. I don't know abut you guys but this is shaping up to be a hard millenium. I'd say we're off to an inauspicious start, at least. Maybe it's just the darkness before the dawn, but considering that half the people I was training with just a couple short weeks ago have since been mobilized to Kuwait, well... reserved judgement.

But it is good to be back among friends. I see that the Fanfics section has been alive and kicking and I hope that there have not been too many trolls about.

Onward!
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!
Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!

I would joke that she must want him, except that she'd probably try to kill me :)

 as long as you're standing several 100 meters away and wearing a good flak jacket, I think it'd be safe to make a joke like that...

Well, heck, it's nice to know your back. I'd written you off as "Marching through the sands of Iraq" already. Velkommen!

Of course I want him. Do you realize how hard it is to find good help these days? And with chemical techniques he's sure to survive the castration process to make him into a perfect domestic eunuch, too!

Yikes! Coyote, I'd recommend running now.
