Well, if the thing was conceived as a joint Byzantine-Shroomanian-Crimson thing with Byzantine Air MacMillan working with Sukhoi, then it would be kind of odd that Sukhoi would be the ones taking all the credit by having their name in the designation
Su-50/53/54.
(Hey, even Fingolfin is getting confused with em!)
Besides, with future projects becoming joint all-CATO ones, I think it'd be in poor form for the projects to end up being designated Crimson-style with their designations only bearing the names MiG or Su(khoi) when we're all in it together rather than kowtowing to you Crimson-Shadow guys
The designation F would merely stand for 'fighter'. Or we could call our fighters 'CF' for Cato Fighter.
I support moving away from old fashioned Western or Soviet-style naming designations and giving ourselves new names (since we're making entirely new futuristic designs anyway!). For the future!
As for those talking about military expansion, the UCSR isn't really expanding anything at the moment. We are simply integrating the forces of the CSR and the USSR and replacing older, outdated stuff, with more modern equipment. Speaking of which, once I'm done putting together the new UCSR OOB, you can expect a lot of older Soviet equipment to become available for purchase.
Similarly, Shroomania has been neglecting updating its military for a while and what we're doing now is a necessary modernization. We're gonna be reaching the 2020s soon, it'll be THE FUTURE, we CAN'T just stick to vintage 1980s weapons systems mangs! I mean, shit, we're supposed to have flying cars and androids by now!
Joint Shroomanian-Crimson cybernetics sciences shall produce humaniform cybernetic organisms! Hyperalloy endoskeletons!
