So now do we fight the SPACEROCK boss battle?
Remember, flip it on its back and hit its weak point for massive damage.

See, if we had more AK-47s, this wouldn't have happened.

Darth Yoshi scares impresses me greatly. Her psi powers are off the charts completely within reasonable limits and she frequently never speaks about killing pitiful human weaklings. She is a terrifying wonderful person, whose honor I will defend to the death.

Ford Prefect: Humdeeladoo. *fingertwiddle*. Where're those alien sonuvabitches? *checks time*.
Peptuck: *HURL*. Ohgods, that teleport makes me so damn sick.
Samuel: *Draw* *Holster* *Draw* *Holster* Heh Heh... can't wait to see those Xenos get a taste of these... I wonder what I should say when I see one of those buggers. 'Welcome to Earth'? Nah... hmm...
Wautd: Servomotor... uh... damnit, how does this work?! Okay. Take a step there... arm laser. Fully charged? Good. Flamethrower? Check... what's that noise?! Okay, just turn around slowly...
Vendetta: *whistle* Goddamned Aliens. Thinking they can set foot in MY LAPUTA? We should not be afraid of unknown aliens. Unknown aliens should be afraid of we... I mean, us.....
Darkevilme: REPLACEMENT PROSTHETIC LIMBS OPTIMAL. DETACHABLE BLADE EDGE ONLINE. IT IS NOW TIME TO DEMONSTRATE MY NEW PROWESS TO IMPRESS MASTER PEZOOK. PRIORITY: LOCATE ALIEN. OBJECTIVE: INITIATE FLAYING.
White Haven: !!!
Wautd turns in place, testing out his new Powered Armor with the heavy-barreled laser weapon under his arms.
"Wautd in Sector two, there's UNKNOWN A-ALIEN LIFEFORMS HERE!" he gasps, before the comm signal breaks up under the sound of intense shouting and screaming.
White Haven was frantically paralyzing the alien intruder in her room, focusing her considerable telepathic powers into shorting out it's thankfully familiar nervous system. Darkevilme bounded in with his super-speed. "STEP ASIDE, I WILL DISSECT THIS ONE IMMEDIATELY."
"White Haven, hold on!" calls out Vendetta, rounding a corner to face a large hovering drone of some sort. Her XM8 snaps up, opening fire with it's armor-piercing rounds. "Engaging enemy... robot!"
White Haven kept the unknown alien paralyzed, while Darkevilme's pneumatically driven arm thrust the sword deep through it's hardened armor plating, emerging from the other side. "TARGET PENETRATED! PROCEEDING WITH VIVISECTION!"
Wautd cried out over the radio. "They're all over me! DOZENS OF THEM! I NEED HELP!" he continued to blast away with his automatic laser. Even the increased penetrative power of the beams weren't enough to damage the aliens. "Falling back to the control center!!" he exclaimed, only the protection of his heavy armor giving him any apparent comfort. "TOO MANY!"
Vendetta continued to fire until the drone crashed to the floor. Behind it revealed the enemy, a bipedal creature with some manner of giant double barreled weapon. Suddenly, a burst of flame and a speeding fireball crashed into the wall besides her, washing over her with blazing heat. "Aaugh! I'm hit! Some weird weapon!" she staggered back, firing still.
White Haven bounded around the corner, freezing the creature in place before it could fire again into Vendetta. Darkevilme lunged out as well, striking it across the head with his blade. It colapsed in a pile of ichor.
"Peptuck here in the control room. Wautd, what is your situation? Wait, I see a target..." She hefted her new Ultrasonic cannon, a powerful weapon that had put down even a lumbering Morelman in a single high-powered blast.
"Situation bad! REAL BAD!" Wautd shouted, as an incindiary grenade exploded behind him. He backed into a corner, swinging around with that heavy laser. Their armor was thick enough to shrug off nearly any projectile attack. Even the high powered laser bursts did little to faze the invaders...
"Hold on! I'm coming in!" Peptuck shouted.
The largest and most heavily armored alien turned as he reached out to grab Wautd, even as laser blasts reflected harmlessly from it's thick plate. It turned, sensing a new, worthy opponent. Peptuck ran up to it, meeting it head on as she thrust the ultrasonic cannon's emitter right into it's chest.
"See you in hell." she sneered, depressing the trigger.
...
The alien shuddered a moment. Then turned down, and backhanded Peptuck to the ground with a hiss.
*URK!* Peptuck staggered back, retreating as Samuel and Ford Prefect finally got their lazy asses over. She gave them a wounded glare as she staggered by, confused at her cannon's complete ineffectiveness.
More grenades burst as the alien warrior fired off shells from his cannon, lighting fires across the command deck.
"Taste lead, Alien!" Samuel muttered, firing away with his twin MP5s, both of which were loaded with specially tipped AP rounds. The Alien barely took notice as Ford Prefect blasted away as well. The bullets weren't harming it one bit.
"Son of a bitch!" Ford muttered. "Don't let him destroy the command computer! Hold the line!" he said, loading an HE grenade into his launcher and firing it straight at the alien.
The Alien apparently knew breakdancing moves, and dodged out of the way with surprising agility.
Turning and with her weapon useless at such extended range, Peptuck fired her underbarrel secondary laser at the advancing enemy. Surprisingly, it burned a slight hole in it's armor, seeming to irritate it. It roared. "Use lasers! Our bullets won't penetrate!" she said as laser fire blasted into him from her weapon and from behind as Wautd inserted a new battery into his support laser.
Samuel holstered his submachine guns, drawing out the two new human laser pistols he had acquired for this very situation. He smiled, mentally preparing a one-liner as he stared down the alien leader.
"I'll have what she's having." Samuel quipped, to confused expressions all around.
We made it. The surviving aliens retreated to their ship after the loss of their apparent leader. I was taking cover with half the command staff elsewhere, monitoring the security cameras. With two heavily wounded personnel, we got off light. This incursion was probably a scouting mission, not a serious attempt to take the Laputa. Before they could escape however, our perimeter guns blasted the engines off with a clean hit, killing the survivors as well as the ship crashed into Earth.
The Reticulan Databases only had vague information about this unknown race. The cultist prisoners we held provided more information. Apparently, they were called 'Wargots' and had come for us. Physically strong and equipped with potent plasma weapons, they're a completely new threat. Far more dangerous across the board than feral reticulans, transgenants and the cultists, we were in trouble. Scans already showed dozens of landing craft dispatched towards Earth..."

You do not have to fear White Haven now. You will have to fear White Haven when she shifts from projecting punctuation marks to injecting Cthonic symbols directly into the minds of those around her.

Re: Let's Play: UFO Aftershock!
This part of the game right now is where things get stupidly insane. The UFO games were never known for being good at difficulty scaling. Lesse.
The Standard Wargots are armed with either their powerful long-ranged plasma guns, or rapid fire incindiary and HEAT grenade launchers. The HEAT rounds are harmless, since they'll never get direct hits. The incindiary rounds are extremely powerful, and the firestorm'll kill people who stay there for more than a few seconds. They're vulnerable to AP bullets and laser fire.
The 'armored' Wargots are another story. While armed similarly (or with heavier weapons), they're literally IMMUNE to nearly all of the projectile weapons I have. The best that can be done is to knock them down. Lasers do a minimal amount of damage, so it's going to be a painful few days until we can get plasma weapons
