The simple fact of the matter is in a straight out war between France & a united Germany, France loses.
France was the most powerful military force on the continent of Europe because its population was the largest but once Germany was united its population was the largest & to top it off the Germans industrialised faster as well.

The defeats in 1940 no country could have stopped the Germans were just way ahead of their time, the simple fact of the matter though is that in WW1 France lost nearly two million men & it takes a lot of balls to do that for five fucking years.

Actually Germany developed its most effective and advanced toys (Tiger, Panther, Me-262, Type XXI, V1+2, MG-42, STG-44) during the war, they entered the war with average equipment, yet they deployed new tactics that the other forces first needed to adapt to.

That is what i meant when i said they were ahead of their time though to be honest rapid concentration of military strength at a single point in the battle isn't that new. Alexander the great was one of the first i think!
