I'm leaning towards turning the ships into large UCAVs and then use them in live firing tests. But I might get rid of some of the older vessels built in the early 90s.

Well all of these came with the "Q generated" batch, but of course with the scenario they have history on them. So I'd figure somewhere around OTL ages, maybe slightly older?

Before I actually consider purchasing, I'd like to know pricing first.

Well they originally cost $1.1 billion according to one website I looked up. So I'll say 50% of that for being used and all.

Honestly I think the price would be lower. That $1.1bn includes an awful lot in terms of the weapons load and electronics that won't be carried over. That and since I'm ALSO decommissioning a bunch of Burkes and Ticos the market is gonna be a little bit flooded.

In other words if ANYBODY wants to buy a 'Burke or Tico' then right now is the time since I've got more than 40 each to get rid of over the next decade or so.

You have a point there. Lots of MESS modified "Burkes" and "Ticos" to go around. Of course I'm still refurbing some of mine, so once I get around to those they'll be nice and modern, though minus sensitive electronics and weapons systems.

In a continuing effort to shed itself of redundant Coilerburg legacy weapons and simplify its maintenance & logistics arms the NFT Armed Forces have announced another round of materiel cuts. The following equipment will be phased out:

- The Kraken-class [Rubis-class] nuclear attack submarines Kraken and Poseidon. Rendered obsolete by the impending introduction of the next-generation FTO-developed Barracuda-class SSN. The two boats will be dismantled.

- All Yak-141 supersonic STOVL fighters (formerly of the SDAF) and MiG-27 ground-attack craft (formerly of the CAF). Will be sold off for reasons relating to maintenance costs and reliance on overseas parties for parts.

- All Mirage-2000 aircraft of the Coilerburg Air Force. These craft have already been taken out of active service and are to be replaced with the more modern Rafale. At least two dozen plus spares and training will be sold to the Winter Army in the north of the CFR.

Is dismantling really the only option you have for those two Rubis subs? Depending on their material condition, they could probably be sold to another navy with only minimal fuss.

Just how many Yak-141s do you have, anyway? I might be interested in a few for my Marines.

Also, why is it just the Winter Army that's getting Mirage 2000s? The Minoyans would probably be interested in a few as well; they might also be interested in some of those ex-Coilerburg MiG-27s.

Those boats are old, and the reactor for this particular sub isn't actually mine but Shroomanian. Even though the design is by now at least 40 years old (the boats were built in the 1970's and I bet Shroomania didn't license me their very best and latest designs back in the day) I still wouldn't be allowed to just sell off their reactors.

A full squadron, just about 20 of them. They're the 2009 vintage model, so they should have plenty life left in them.

Because I want to buddy up with the Winter Army, and I don't really trust Mr. Weinberg. The WA is sitting right next to where Tian Xia is currently doing lord-knows-what to Mr. Mortimer Jr. and his merry band of bastards so it only makes sense to plan for some good old proxy warfare just in case they have any thoughts about further expansion. Plus they pay me in blood diamonds, which is a nice bonus.
