I think Skimmer made some comments about how it was odd for certain nations to be part of certain alliances considering their geological position and such. Not entirely sure though.

Dude, FASTA got Ms. Moonbeam on a no-fly list to Jerusalem and issued "tase on sight" orders to JSC security detail. It's Pegasus who caved in under Lord Moonbeam and let her on their private flight. FASTA just assisted with the (very difficult) mission plan, organization and provided mission controllers. In fact, Kaklamanis is about to throw a fit over Pegasus and their passenger policy in the very next post

And Moonbeam passed all screening and qualified herself on the Soyuz fair and square. She's scary precisely because she can fake sanity so well

Oh hardly. I spent years of game-time building up to this point, first by making peace with the commies, then by encouraging business with PeZookia (generic drug deals) and Byzantium (the oil, Arabiapolis & ship deals), then by getting the Old Continent involved in the Coilerburg investments, and finally by negotiating a free trade agreement with CATO in exchange for a naval station. It's been a long time since the OC was portrayed as a place of communist villainy, we've been profitable trading partners for years, and the talking heads will further spin the treaty as a symbolic victory for capitalism ("red markets opening up!"). I'm sure there'll be some rioting (Sprawl-scum doesn't need a good reason to riot), but it'll be hardly any worse than usual.

On a somewhat less depressing note, we'd be happy to show Huang Di around a bit. Granted, there isn't anything particularly impressive outside of the Pezookian-built shipyards at Erat and the government architecture in Mirakar. Perhaps the Emperor would like to experience the Mirakar Air Show?

Ugh, tell me about it. That's why I went to the trouble of putting naval assets in the North... Unfortunately with recent events I feel that I can no longer count on allied control of the entrance to the bay there, so that doesn't look like very good long-term military investment, either.

On second thought, I still feel less threatened by the NFT than by Tian Xia. So maybe I won't cut off ties with them for leaving us hanging like that. XD

Minor OOB update: I have decided to move from a 12 plane per squadron system to a 16 plane per squadron system. Procurement to add the extra planes to be carried out over the next 2 years.
