That says Western kit! You can even have a sort of hybrid status, like Germany after re-unification operated a lot of Sovbloc stuff for awhile. PeZook still has those MiG-29s for sale and it'd be a shame for them to go to waste. The rest of the stuff you can get from various other powers. Canissia makes a lot of European equipment, too. German Mungo trucks, Serval jeeps, Wiesel airborne APCs... and my Motor-Rifle brigades are using BTR-90s.
My ships are a mix of US and European, and my Air Force is almost entirely US.

I wonder how that figure was derived when the F/A-22 is about 1/3-1/2 that cost...
The hull loss of the 2008 B-2 crash at Guam was quoted at a cost of 1.4 billion though.

Bear in mind that that figure was derived when the aircraft was almost done with production. They would have a fairly good handle on the exact costs for the aircraft. Also bear in mind that it's then year dollars, so after inflation it'd increase. Presumably it'd also require a larger scheduled production run.

Probably, but Ryan is unlikely to find the funds to run such a large production run. He'd be lucky with 6-12 planes after the initial sunk in cost.

It's awesome that you spelled 'crisis' with a K.

Well, we have a MiG SKAT, which cost us .. a couple tens of billions to develop, and a manned version coming along in 3-4 years, which started development since last game year so, there's no need.
The Su-54 is also a pretty nifty bomber which we can start production about now.

Miratia can sell you combat rifles that fire epic hueg cartridges, if you're interested.
I'd actually recommend the MESS 6.8mm USC (Universal Service Cartridge).

Bah. Little cartridges for little men.
With Miratian 8x55mm, all it takes is one good hit to the chest. Or, really, just near any particularly vital points. As an added plus, there's a dum-dum round avaliable as well, just in case you somehow need even more stopping power.
We use primarily IM-6's. They don't look like any real rifle in particular. I sort of based it off the G36E, to some extent, and some other guy's artwork. This is a shortened version of the full-length 'battle rifle'.

Obviously, you've never had to play "Infantry" and go on "Nature Walks" all day with hueg cartriges!
It's all for nothing if your guys reach the battle exhausted from humping too much weight.

I will be using the lost, lamented M8 in 6.8mm, dubbed the M868 because I feel like it. IIRC it was indeed capable of caliber change. For my primary submachinegun I will be using the M868 PDW variant and -this- nasty little fellow in native 9mm: http://world.guns.ru/civil/civ003-e.htm
Yes, that's the gun the Galactica Marines use.
Machineguns I guess will be FN Minimi/M249 in 6.8.
That's a dumb gun. You might as well use a P-90 if you want a PDW, it's just as big, looks cooler and carries more bullets.

(joking obviously)
No problem. Killing one man takes one man out of battle, and pisses off his buddies.
Wounding him, in the other hand, creates a screaming crying ball of panic that demoralizes his buddies, requires two men and medical supplies to treat him & carry him, and sends him back to the home front where his mangled form demoralizes civilian support for the war effort.
My choice.

I am not sure if I bothered to upgrade my battle rifles to 6.8mm standard.

Note on the P90, I hear it is actually a good weapon, the problem with it is that the ammunition for it that is sold to civilians is nerfed, because the original military and law-enforcement version of the 5.7x28 was specifically designed to penetrate body armor at high speeds and close ranges.
So a military-grade P90 is actually not a bad choice in all. I'd consider it in a RL situation for some applications.

I never heard of 'shoot to wound' used in a combat context before. 'Shoot to kill' sounds way more sensible.
Oh yeah, the theory behind the 5.56mm and the M16's amazing performance in places like Somalia.

Might be a good time to roll out an update to the H&K G36 guns I use. Hmm.. H&K G36A3 with 6.8mm standard or something more armour piercing.

Y'all go ahead and design your fancy-dandy rifles. Meanwhile I'm going to sit here and produce cheap, sturdy and simple rifles that A) work anywhere, all the time and B) can be operated and maintained even by the illiterate rebel militias of Velaria and inner-Frequesue.
I use G36s too. Since I fancy SchromCorp as a bit of an H&K too. And, well, Shroomania has Germanians in it.
And I really love the way the gun looks.
EDIT:
Siege, that's how the communists do it!!!
