They keep switching the name from GAME to CITIZEN GAME to GAME again.
I went to see a test screening on Tuesday, some people who see it might think its bad, or so bad its good.
Anyone seen any promotional material for GAME?

Its actually a good movie, and if you don't nitpick it and actually think about the message behind it, that with greater technology and ways to entertain ourselves, that a certain level of depravity will occur and we will end up becoming more disconnected from our fellow human beings.
Long and short of it: A tech genius has made a way for people to be able to control other people who have had implants put into their brain, some of them are in a "Second Life" kind of simulation called "Society", but there's also a battlefield version with "Slayers", the Slayers are all death row inmates, who have been offered a chance for freedom if their player can get them through 30 battles. One of the Slayers is Kable (Gerard Butler, 300), his "Player" is this 17 year old kid who doesn't really think anything different about sending a flesh and blood person into battle. There is another group called the Humanz (not really a luddite movement, they love games just like anyone else, just not ones involving controlling other people) who contact the Player and get him to help Kable escape since he is key in stopping Castle, the CEO of the tech company behind "Society" and "Slayers".
Its all very Matrixy, without the robot overlords, or vats of goo.

I almost managed to get into a pre-screening for this, but didn't quite make it (they overbooked). The concept does sound interesting, and dammit all, I like Gerard Butler, so I may plunk down a few bucks to go see it when it coems out.

Hum, sounds...interesting, I suppose. I'll probably give it a shot when it comes out.
I'm prepared to call bullshit for why one inmate is important enough to stop this whole mess though
