FFmpeg giving me odd problems

Post by Rogue 9 »

Okay, so as I posted in this thread about two months ago, my camera records in a funky file format and I needed a converter. I settled on FFmpeg, since it seemed to work well once I got it going.

Well now it's giving me problems. I converted about 25 videos today, and the converted files worked fine at the time. I then went to work on something else in After Effects, and when I came back to the converted videos they refused to work; they open in media players but then show black and won't play. What's more, all videos I'd converted to MPEG format using the program in the past also stopped working in the same manner, and videos I convert now come out also corrupted the same way. Other MPEGs on the computer that were not converted with FFmpeg are unaffected. I tried converting a video to .mov format instead just to see what would happen and Quicktime says it needs additional components to play the resulting file. What in the blue blazes is going on? :|

Codec issue. Install CCCP or K-Lite Codec Pack.
