I have the original CD, for the longest time my only source for a score to BTAS. Of course now there's the BTAS soundtrack volume one, but MotP still holds a special place in my heart. And of course I want to pimp this, because if it sells out (I believe the BTAS soundtrack has) it only encourages them to do more releases, I hope. Unless this is only because of Shirley Walker's death, which while still a good enough reason, I hope they're doing it full spectrum.La La Land Records wrote:Presenting the remastered, expanded Limited Edition release of composer Shirley Walker’s (BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES, THE FLASH, WILLARD) magnificent orchestral score to the 1993 Warner Bros. feature film BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM. Remastered and expanded, (more than 27 minutes longer than the original CD release), this is the definitive version of Shirley's amazing score. Features two bonus tracks. Twelve page CD booklet includes exclusive, in-depth liner notes. This is a Limited Edition of only 3000 units.
So wityh 27 minutes more, I think that's close to double the original's time. So it's definately worth it even if you got the first version. Hell, they expanded the opening titles to 5:01, which is awesome because that's one of my favorite renditions of the Batman theme.
So once more, sharing this with all the DCAU fans out there. Enjoy, and buy quick and buy lots!
