2k3 Servers, XP workstations, no form of config management to speak of, small userbase of around 500 or so.
What do you push for and why?
Arguments put forward so far. SCCM because it'll tie what's already there together nicely (WSUS, MDT), ZCM10 because we've already got some Zen experts, BMC because the support company is trying to become a BMC provider and some of the servers are already using BMC monitoring.

You try arstechnica? They have a forum dedicated to discussion on servers and enterprise installations. I don't think anyone here can really give you a good answer.

I work in the industry and I have little fucking clue what he said. But them I'm a hardware guy not a software guy, the likely hood of someone here being able to hold a semi-intellgent disscussion on this subject are rather low at roughly a thousand active members.
