This one is not as bad as some of the others that have been posted, but I do find the "OBAMA IS GOING TO KILL YOUR CHILDREN!" theme to be hilarious.

That theme annoys me to no end. Especially since I hear it all the damn time. Not because I think running up debts is is a good idea, but because apparently, it's only bad to run up horrendous debts when it's a Democrat doing it.

I can sort of understand their rationalization. Theoretically, a "fiscally responsible" conservative Republican gov't would be more likely to pay down the debt, whereas the Democrats are seen as being more likely to just blow the money on "useless" crap programs.

Except they do no such thing. They cut taxes to the rich, raise the cost of services on everyone else and keep spending money like a drunken sailor on shore leave.

Wow. That's just lame. It reminds me of this parody of the unfunny lameness of beating an idea to the ground, except it's being played completely seriously.

Its also an example of the Strawmen, that the far right LOVE to use... in two of the 'cartoons' we basically have Nap, calling American troops "terrorists" now, i dont know about you, but I don;t think theres Anything in any of the reports badmouthing American forces...

yes, but only if you misread through Fox vision. The lowering of acceptance standards, has allowed Aryan and Drug Gangs to send members with criminal records into our military in rather staggering numbers. So the DHS lets survey the returning vets with wavers, has become spying on our brave servicemen.

I don't know how fucking retarded you have to be to think that somebody being a veteran automatically makes them a saint, but I think that's a real strain of thought among some people. Here's an idea: In that first cartoon, have a little label sticking out of the soldier's helmet that says "Timothy McVeigh" and append the phrase "by any means necessary!" to his speech bubble. Whee!

The usual rationalization I've seen the Republicans make for blowing off their "physically responsible" mantra whenever it's convenient is this:

Imagine you're a frugal person but married to a spouse who's a huge spender. You have a joint account that's set up so both of you can draw from it at will, and your spouse is endlessly spending you into debt. Are you going to respond by saving money yourself? What's the point? It's just letting them totally control the agenda, since they're just going to spend anything you save anyway. No, the thing to do is spend money on the things that you want while you still can, because it's the closest thing you've got to any kind of control.

It's a sort of understandable rationalization, or would be if they were actually totally powerless to stop Democratic spending. I really doubt they are.

This makes FIVE political cartoons essentially saying the exact same thing, and this is just what ive found online.
And keep in mind so far only ONE of the cartoons actually has Napolitano actually addressing the TEA protesters... 4 out of 5 of these cartoons have her "attacking" either American soldiers are aspects of American iconography, both of which have NOTHING to do with the actual reports released.

Usually once the right-wing cartoonists find a new strawman to beat, they all dogpile it for weeks. How many stupid "lol obama uses teleprompters lol" cartoons have been made? We can expect many more "OMG THEY THINK ALL VETERANS ARE TERRISTS" cartoons as well.

What's hilarious is that the Founding Fathers were revolutionaries. Hence, you know, "American Revolution." As for being right-wing, well, the whole point was that they didn't like paying taxes, after Britain had just finished kicking the French off the continent for them. That sort of "have my cake and eat it too" attitude typifies the Right.

Understandable rationalization? That sounds more like an unhealthy relationship to me and I really have to wonder about these people and their marriages if that's how they see it. Though it might help explain the divorce rate.

Fail, not quite epic, but still a fail.

1. He is spinning the political fall out from North Korea's missile test, which came right after his budget where he cut R&D funding for NMD.

2. The "Ms. Rice" in the Comic is his UN Ambassidor Dr. Susan Rice, not former Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice.

Well THATS embarrassing, though still something over the top as NK's missile 'launch' was almost a total failure itself.

The launch wasn't 'almost a total failure'. The first and second stages burned properly, and they had proper separation from the first and second stages. The failure was that the third stage didn't ignite/fire properly.

'Almost a total failure' would be like the first test several years ago, when the thing failed less than 2 minutes after launch.
