The "Abortion Inc." thing refers to the pro-life canard that abortions are an extremely profitable business, and the organizations that provide them and doctors that perform them are fiends who kill babies for the money in it. I think this became magnified in recent years because of some report from Planned Parenthood that showed them with gross revenues of about a billion and a net of over $100 million, thus ABORTION IS MURDER FOR PROFIT. Of course in actuality abortion is a loss-maker, but since abortion is a small part of what PP does, they make up the money through their other services and through government subsidies and, like all non-profits their gains don't go into anybody's pocket but back into the organization so that it can expand.

It's basically a means of demonizing abortion providers and shutting off potential avenues of communication. A pro-life person who believes that abortion is equivalent to infanticide might, at some point, wonder why so many doctors are out there killing babies. The easy answer is to say "they're so evil they do it for money!" as opposed to potentially realizing that there might be some kind of ethical reason to be pro-choice.

Ok really unless you had that explained it just makes NO sense. I mean Terrorists, flying on the backs of judges, into... the twin twers, AGAIN?? I mean... at the very least you could have them attacking a target that inst....already destroyed.

As for the other comic, the one with Obama being carried by several people... Once again we see "The Abortion Industry!" reinforcing what others have already said about the misguided theory that Abortion is a "murder for profit" company, and, Liberals LOVE aborting babies.

I'm pretty sure they're more concerned about babies being aborted against their (the baby's) will. Seeing as they don't care if it's rape, or in some cases, if the mother's life is endangered, and giving foetuses rights and all that.

I'm sorry to Necro an old thread, but its been pointed out I REALLY shouldn't post these in the "Real" political cartoons thread, and well... Ive been DYING to simply get these out of my system

Firstly we have the classic case of THE SAME MESSAGE OVER AND OVER, and I point out, by the exact same person, in this case the message is simply:
"Barack Obama is the greatest Threat to America!!!"



Next on our list is some blatantly over the top Offensive imagery.
First we have Obama Dressed in a 'Zoot Suite' from the 1930's , talking like a Mobster and threatening our beloved Auto industry.
I'd say the duel message here is: "Obama is a Mobster! or "All Unions are run by Mobs!"

Next we simply have Obama giving a High5 to Hitler... Nice, to the point, no beating around the bush here fellas. And keep in mind both ARE done by the same artist.


Next on the list, we have those cartoons which seem offensive, but I simply cannot understand... First up, as with many, we have our old friend Chuck Aslay.

Now, I have gone back and forth on this, and I still don't get it... Are they saying Mr.Doe has run out of money? That his illness wont make a profit? Or that somehow granting Universal Health care will lead to...Less Health care? It is a mystery to me.

Once again, maybe im missing Conservative buzzwords here, or some sort of message, Is the insult supposed to be that Obama would call the bombing of Hiroshima a warcrime? Is it that he wouldn't take responsibility for it and blame Opinion Polls? And either way, what does it have to do with the Attorney General?

So.. is Debt part of a Photo opt? I mean, you could make the case for "debt" destroying America... but linking it with a Photo Opt? That's just weird...

On second thought that makes more sense. Though why the author thinks private care doesn't cut care all the time escapes me. (Though it probably has something to do with him being a douschebag.) It's pretty well known that the insurance companies have whole units of people whose purpose is to try and find ways to drop coverage if you actually get sick and need them to pay for expenses.

Pols is slang for politicians, not opinion polls. He's saying Obama would prosecute Truman. And I don't know if Obama's said anything about it or not, but there's been something of a shitstorm in the right-wing blogosphere over Jon Stewart saying that he considers the atomic bombings war crimes and Harry Truman a war criminal. (A thoroughly idiotic position, but that's for another thread.) I would venture to guess that that's what brought it up, even though the cartoon targets Obama.
