Recently I'd been have problems with my Messenger; it didn't want to start up the window when I clicked the start bar icon to let me sign in. Some times it works, sometimes it doesn't. THis was usually solved by excessive amounts of restart of the program.
Today, I switch my computer on and the window opens up just fine. Except that its forgotten my user name and password. And now whenever I enter them and hit 'sign in' it freezes. So i thought fuck this and reinstalled it. Now instead of just freezing the entire program dissappears when I try to sign in.
Anyone had similar problems or solutions?

Use Pidgin.

I'ld recommend a checkdisk as it sounds like your IE password store (which Live uses) has been corrupted.
