You're only one vote away from being tied for first, so you may as well hang in there and see what happens. And you picked up another vote while I was posting in another thread, so I don't think this is over.

I don't think I belong in the competition either since I don't particularly like the avatar I submitted and I KNOW I'm going to get creamed by D.W. or you or Spank, but who cares? It's all in fun anyway, remember.

That's absurd. Plenty of people haven't voted for Wong (19, in fact, last time I looked). I voted for him for the same reason everyone else voted for anything- I like his avatar better than the other candidates. It's got nothing to do with who the person is.

). Sure, it's a decent avatar, but a Yoda screen shot with a quick photoshop burn on the robes isn't exactly the pick of the crop. Most any avatars Kelly has are great, and I'd only worry about the 1-2% of the weirdos who don't like hand drawn avatars (*kick kick, nidge nudge*

).

If anyone, I'd say it's Spanky who needs to worry about being voted based on who he is, given all the people lurking around who've decided to make him their antagonist of the board, and hint at their grudge in their posts.

EDIT: Maybe I should have entered, with either Tsunami or Aeris...

Dudes... why is this such a big fucking arguement? I have not a single vote, yet you don't see me complaining. I submitted my avatar again after there were plenty of votes, and still haven't gotten a single one. IMO, the poll SHOULD be reset, and all avatars posted in order to have a fair poll. But that's just my opinion. [shrugs] Didn't even vote for myself, btw.

Um.. whoa, whoa Whoa. Hang on a second, talk about reading into things!

I may have mentioned that she might be more likely to be voted for being our 'resident sex kitten', but that was only as a reassuring counter example to her assumption that people are voting to Wong just for being Wong. I meant she'd be voted for being Kelly, not for being a woman. I find it almost insulting that you'd think I, out of anyone, would make this a gender issue. I was just responding to Kelly, just like Zaia's response to Kelly, just like Vympel's response to Kelly, just like Spanky's response to Kelly. If it is soley a gender, those are your words, not mine.

And I wish I knew what your apology concering the 'grudge' thing was about. It's really quite ambigous.

Maybe nowadays most of the time I respond to a point, no matter if I'm the first to bring it up or the 12th, someone immediately chews out someone or declares an argument is breaking out. Do I come off sounding totally pissed off and irritated, or do I just hit the point hard enough to set off a knee-jerk reaction? It sure seems like that in some of these threads.

Sure, it really would be nice if people would calm down sometimes, but it doesn't help when half the time the arguments are about stopping people arguing. It's very odd, indeed.

Qualm might be a better word? Dudes as in Everyone that decided to keep everything going, and basically anyone NOT commenting on the avatars themselves.. well, aside from the whole Kelly part.. she has her reasons.
