I just returned from a site saying that "The Federation could kick the crap out of Imperial stormtroopers because ST's are inaccurate"
I suppose somebody forgot to tell that guy that the stormtroopers seen on Tatooine were likely some of the Empires WORST troops assigned to a backwater planetary garrison the Empire felt unworthy of well trained troops and not represenative of ST's as a whole....
1. Did you even see Eps. II? They kicked the CRAP out of those battle droids.
2. Obi-wan Kenobi apparently holds them in high regards!
3. The Emperor himself is confident enough in them to recruit the best of the best from their ranks to join his Crimson Guard
4. Who could blame them for their inaccuracy? I'd have problems trying to shoot at something from a holographic representation!
5. They're good enough to hunt down and kill Jedi!
I'm tired of Trekkies claiming how bad ST's are then turning around and praising their useless Federation marines. Yeah, uhuh, we've all seen how "good" FedMar's are in battle....
