Star Wars lasers will indeed damage Federation ships......

Post by Ben Ingram »

A. Every body knows that SW lasers aren't true lasers in the sense as we
know them.

B. Even IF Star Trek shields are also immune to Wars lasers, the shields will eventually fall, because they will eventually be overloaded by the lasers energy; Trekkie shields don't reflect energy but absorbs it, so they can and would overload if hit enough times.

I may be wrong, so please don't hit me too hard, but I don't think that trekkies are being rational when they say that a Federation ship cpuld sail into the middle of a fleet of sixty ISD's and come out without a scratch.

{Yes, I know it's been covered on the site, but there's been somethings about this issue that Mr. Wong overlooked}

I don't think we should use VI here. I suggest "Rabid".

Yes, I am a rabid star wars fan, or even junkie, but I only post these posts because I honestly believe Star Wars is far superior to Trek. Hell, Star Craft is far superior to Trek, even.

That's fine and dandy. The problem is, you're posting stuff that EVERYBODY KNOWS. Hell, you're posting this stuff on a web board owned and operated by one of the guys who figured this shit out in the first place! You're not impressing anyone by telling us this, and this is not the kind of board where you gain recognition and status via ass kissing and Rabid Warsie sycophantry.

Ben, if you already know that something is covered on the site, there's really no reason to speak of it again. Since everyone even remotely involved in the debate has long since settled this issue, there's really no reason to post such things again, unless it is to debunk a troll, a newbie, or someone else who doesn't yet understand what's going on.

So WHY do you all have a problem with me?
So what if I state the obvious; it prevents buffoons from using the old "Well, you couldn't even penetrate our shields!" routine.

Because we've already been over it a heck of a lot. If someone wants to come after us with this crap, we'll deal with it then. Until that happens, no one here is remotely interested in re-makes of old debates.

There ARE no more new debates!
This site has pretty much covered it all; when you run out of new things to argue about, you have to rehash the older things.

Eh.. Ossus pressed lock before I could post this in the other thread, but I'll post it anyway!

sigh..

Ben, haven't you understood the message yet? You're spamming the board with your "revelations".

Stop, we already know.

Yes but most of the people that come here with that stuff won't either look at the site or outright ignore it, the others have already acepted.
Try to bring something new and it will be debated.
