16GB, PSP Go! leaks out before E3

Look up there, folks. That's the future of Sony's hopes and dreams in the handheld gaming sector. With just hours to go before the company's official E3 2009 press event, it looks like the pieces are all coming together. First a UMD-less game release, then a highly credible mole giving the PSP Go a name, and now -- live action shots. The images here were sourced from an obviously slipped June 2009 Qore video, and aside from giving us a look at the slider-based system (which, let's be honest, looks a ton like the questionably successful mylo), we're also told that it'll tout 16GB of internal memory, built-in Bluetooth and an undisclosed memory slot. If all goes well, it'll ship this Fall for a price to be determined, and it's actually not slated to replace the PSP-3000, as both of 'em will attempt to live on store shelves harmoniously... at least for awhile. Oh, and don't worry -- we'll be on hand in LA to bring you all the impressions we can muster early next week.

Under the screen. It slides up like the fancy new cellular phones the kids love these days.

I agree with this, having two sticks would have made the system much easier to play, for me at least. I hope they have a wide variety of codec support for audio and video. I'm lazy when it comes to converting stuff. :(

Edit, after reviewing the provided link, I have noticed a definite lack of dual thumbsticks. Sony has failed to interest me in psp stuff yet again.\

Edit again: I suppose Sony should save itself some effort and just send the projected sales and development costs on a big check to nintendo. Christ, it seems like Sony is actively trying to fail out of the video game entertainment market.

That looks incredibly uncomfortable to hold.

Kind of weird that they would largely ditch back-compatibility with the original PSP, yet not bother to include a second analogue stick. It's kind of like they thought "Hey, remember what Nintendo did with the DSi? Well, we can do that, only with much more stupidity involved!"

As far as I can tell, this isn't going to replace the current PSP, which is about the best thing I can say about it. It even has a smaller screen.
What is Project Zohar?

Here's to a certain mostly harmless nutcase.
