Everyman: Superpowered embodiment of the hard-working spirit of the common man.
Santa Claus: The Most Rev. Nikolaos of Myra, patron saint of sailors, children, prostitutes and repentant thieves; he knows if you've been bad or good.
Brother Jonathan: Sergeant Major Joshua Stone, living proof that patriotism never dies.
Chantilly Lace: The world's most powerful telepath, with a pretty face and a pony tail.
Jack of All Trades: Billionaire robot inventor and businessman, who always has the right tools for the job.
Schrödinger's Cat: Tremendous powers of quantum uncertainty. Maybe.
The Inquisitor: Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.
Captain T. Reginald Kingmaker, USN: Navy SEAL, fighter pilot, secret agent, and raconteur. Also a Tyrannosaurus rex, but does not actually realize this.

A team of author-created superheroes intended as a parallel to the Justice League of America and the Avengers, the New Frontiersmen are led by Brother Jonathan, a New England patriot who enlisted in 1775 and whose love of country is so strong it has kept him young and vigorous for his 234 years of active duty service since then. The team includes some first-rate powerhouses, like Everyman and Santa Claus, as well as more subtle operators like Chantilly Lace and Schrödinger's Cat. Few can match the versatility of Captain Kingmaker or Jack of All Trades, and criminals the world over tremble in fear of the black-clad "Holy Terror," the ferocious and merciless Inquisitor.

CAPT Kingmaker has been a vocal critic of the F-22. When pressed, he will reluctantly admit that he "just doesn't like the name," but he cannot for the life of him explain why.

The Deathstalker does not believe Capt Kingmaker is a "fighter pilot". He is of course a "naval aviator". And being a naval aviator, his ride is either a Tomcat or Hornet. Most likely a 'cat as he'll need the room. Capt Kingmaker doesn't need a RIO!

Goddamn, it would've been awesome if he - together with an FBI chemical weapons specialist played by Nicholas Cage, and a convicted MI6 operative played by Sean Connery with explicit knowledge of the Alcatraz prison - played part in a mission to rescue hostages and eliminate rogue Marine Force Recon operatives armed with VX rockets holed up in The Rock.

Zeno's Turtle: zh-Arkadaeos the Implacably Turbulent. Interdimensional conqueror with the cosmic ability to fold space.
The Mask of the Red Death: Visarionovich Fernández y Belisario. Fifth-columnist agent of the Fourth International turned Euromobster.
Prophet Loss: Bil'ām bin Beor. Ammonite magician and prophet for hire, killed by the Sons of Israel four thousand years ago.
The Abominable Snowman: Fearsome cryptid from the frigid reaches of the Himalayas.
Manhunter: Staff Sergeant David "Fingers" Duncan-MacGregor, RCMP. Gambler cashiered from the Mounties for murder, racketeering, and jaywalking.

The villainous counterparts to the New Frontiersmen, the Parade of Horribles include their greatest enemies, from the murderous Frère Jacques (who, like Brother Jonathan, is kept young and vital by his zealous idealism) to the ruthless dictator Pavlov's Dog and the pre-Colombian horror that is Smoking Mirror (who has vowed to resurrect his cult by unleashing plagues that will far surpass those once used by what he calls "that uppity Jew").
