Moreover this vote will be conducted rather differently as there are a large number of options and I believe work is sitll under way for ranked lists so:
- If the only fitting option you see is PermaBan that is option A
- If you prefer PermaBan but a lesser offense is acceptable that is option B
- If the only fitting option you see is TempBan (length 3-6 months) that is option C
- If you prefer TempBan (length 3-6 months) but a lesser offense is acceptable that is option D
- If you prefer a Title (exact title TBD) that is option E
- If you prefer to do Nothing or to Table The Issue (e.g. give him a chance to work out his proposed solution) that is option F
- If you have no preference please Abstain.
Per the rules a PermaBan requires a supermajority of all voters and a 50% quorum, for purposes of calculating this votes for both A and B will be considered PermaBan votes. If PermaBan does not pass the next evaluation will be for TempBan which requires a majoirty vote and 40% quorum, for purposes of calculating this will include all votes in options B, C, and D. If TempBan fails the next evaluation is Title which will be counted from options B, D, and E and must pass by majority vote and 40% quorum. If none of the option (PermaBan, TempBan, Title) pass then we will table the issue until and if Colfax violates the terms of his self propsoed parole.
For those keeping score there are currently 54 active Senators so for PermaBan the quorum is 27 for everything else the quorum is 22.
Lastly I will quote the rules 3.B:
Special note for Permanent Ban votes
- When a user, for violation of the Board Rules, is the subject of a permanent ban poll in the Senate, that user MAY be temporarily banned for the duration of the poll at the discretion of any Executor, or upon request by any two Senators other than the Senators who motioned for, and seconded, the ban poll.
- Should the Senate impose a temporary ban as punishment for violation of the Board Rules after considering a permanent ban, the Senate may elect to count the time spent banned during the poll towards the user's sentence. This determination will be made by the Chancellor in consultation with the Senate.
