Dark Wing

Post by Samuel »

For some reason I started thinking about the Dark Wing (Walter H Hunt) series again. It came along with messed up dreaming... go figure. I read the first 4 books about a year ago and... to be honest, I have no idea what the heck the plot was after the first book- two made some sense, but it went down hill from there. Can anyone explain it to me?

I rarely fail to make it through a book. Now, I won't always read an entire series, but I'll plod through even a bad book for a sense of closure...I couldn't make it through the first Dark Wing book. It was so back and forth and bizarre that I didn't even really want to find out how it all ended.

Not really answering your question so much as sharing your 'huh' viewpoint, but, eh. There's not enough discussion of non-'big' scifi on the board here, so I thought I'd try and spur something on.

Well to be honest my main problem is that I have no idea what the... villians? are, what their motivation was, why they did their retarded plan or how the heck the magic in it worked. I mean, the good guys plan only worked because, not only did they assume their enemies were retarded, but a specific type of retarded.

Seriously, if you follow exactly what you did last time to the letter, you deserve to be shot and replaced by competant villians.
