So if I am reading this right, Nintendo's new set of of "Big 3" games is Metroid Gaiden, some vague Zelda, and four player Mario? The last one seems really lackluster. It's like a romhack or some garage programmer's game.

I'm specifically reminded of all the "OMG! Link turns into a wolf in the game!" noise for Twilight Princess, which was based on nothing but the fact that the teaser trailer concluded with a wolf howling at the moon.Dooey Jo wrote:Yeah, but really only because of those rings (and the fishnet actually). Miyamoto also made a point of that Link didn't have a sword, so they could well be right. But they could also be hilariously wrong.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:That actually does make a little bit of sense.Dooey Jo wrote:Why, this logic, of course.
While it did turn out to be correct, it also showed that they were capable of concluding anything based on the tiniest scrap of evidence.
This "sword spirit" thing at least has the benefit of seeming a little more substantiated, but I'm still holding on to my salt.

The only games I'm interested on the PS3 outside of God of Waaahr III is Heavy Rain and Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Heavy Rain looks like it could be the shit, as they say in the vernacular, a more consistently written and frankly visually amazing game in the vein of Quantic Dream's Fahrenheit.Stark wrote:That said, can anyone confirm that there's anything interesting on PS3 that isn't GoW3?
What is Project Zohar?
Here's to a certain mostly harmless nutcase.

There's been a pretty positive buzz for The Last Guardian, but I get the impression that it wouldn't be your cup of tea.Stark wrote:GYAHHHHHHHHVendetta wrote:It's almost as much fun as when they complain that each new game is not as good as Ocarina of Time, no matter how much more refined, involving, or fun it is.

Did anyone have anything on the new Ghostbuster game?
Nitram, slightly high on cough syrup: Do you know you're beautiful?
Me: Nope, that's why I have you around to tell me.
Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.

I saw it at SDCC last year, but I think I heard it was cancelled? Despite looking pretty polished and done.LadyTevar wrote:Did anyone have anything on the new Ghostbuster game?

It's actually coming out next week, being published by Atari after Activision dumped it last year.Nephtys wrote:I saw it at SDCC last year, but I think I heard it was cancelled? Despite looking pretty polished and done.LadyTevar wrote:Did anyone have anything on the new Ghostbuster game?
While I think there were demo stations on the floor, the game was otherwise a no show at E3. But it's getting solid critical reception overall.

Hopefully that Space Marine game will turn out alright. The bolters looked a little bit weak in the alpha build (I think it was the alpha build) video.
