I read the artist's thoughts on that painting somewhere, when you read it, it kind of ruins the spooky aspects. It was like a boy he knew or something...
But it is one disturbing image, anyway. Much more so than H.R. Giger.

You know, perhaps the reason why there've been so many flames today could be because of the painting having its influence on this board.

I'm even considering writing a horror fic on it in the future. Hmm....

Eh... that painting wasn't "scary". Creepy? yea... frighting? nope. You want scary, go over to SB and ask someont to post the Jigglyman... once you've seen that, things take a whole new perspective (or you claw you eyes out...).
There is no problem to dificult for a signifigantly large enough quantity of C-4 to handle.

Which is probably this, posted on a different board:

Painting's a hoax, and you can find the proof online - painter's a man by the name of Bill Stoneham, and he painted it on canvas in 1972. (Not, for example, in the 19th century on the flesh of murdered children. :p ) He says it came from a dream he had as a child - the child is him, the doll was a guide in his dream, and the hands at the windows were other people, the window itself meant to represent the veil between waking and dreaming. I think he meant it to be a sweet, dreamlike picture and just screwed up. If it's haunted, I don't know HOW, since Stoneham himself is very much alive.

Oh, by the by - that Doll is a dead ringer for Talky Tina, a purely fictional living doll from an episode of the original Twilight Zone.

Oh, and further, here's more of Stoneham's work, LOL :D :D

There is no god. You can't have this and god, they're mutually exclusive.
