The Meatgrinder Returns!

For the summer, I'm running a 16 slot, high speed JA server (far superior to what I was running before), and all are welcome to join and play.

This is a strictly "no honorz" server, so all weapons are allowed, all force powers, and all tactics applicable to the gametype (short of team laming or hacking of course!).

The trackers should be updated, and I will restart it once a day to make sure things are working properly. Please shoot me an email or PM if things are not looking right.

The rotation should be two rounds of siege (six matches), followed by a run through of the JA basic maps, then the JA Bonus map pack, then I CTF (then the CTF bonus map). There's a "mayhem" map thrown in there every once in awhile too (a Duel map set to FFA, meaning it's basically a mosh pit!).

And there will be no "waiting for people to join" a Siege match, because the TAB bots can play it, which will keep the rotation going.

Dismemberment and melee are enabled, and tons of Star Wars skins are supported... I will also try to get some Siege Destroyer/Asteroids Mod setup for later this summer (if they'll allow it).

OJP Basic Mod v.12 is running (not required to join, but recommended). There will be no "admin abuse" on this server.

Sounds awesome. I've been pretty busy, but I swear I'm going to find some time to reinstall JA sometime.

I never really gave JA multiplayer a fair shake (mostly because most of the servers sucked), and I miss my MotS and JKII MP days.

Well this should be just what the doctor ordered...

You won't get kicked or banned for killing people with their saber off here, and you don't have to duel. We'll do more than just duel or DM... we'll have a variety of gametypes going, including Holocron, Jedi Master, and so forth. No grappling hooks!

I'll be sure to get on again. I'm also about to run some ethernet cable through the house so I won't have to worry about those stupid lag problems I was experiencing, but thats just a problem in general with my wireless connection.

You do that. Though your lag issues should be greatly reduced now that I'm using a rented server, rather than my home connection...

Well I'm 99% sure I've worked out the bugs... it should be fine now!

It's been up all day, but it hasn't been really running smoothly until the last 2 1/2 hours or so...

I'll restart once every 24 hours, roughly, or if something goes wrong.

Also, the following skinpack is supported, as are these hilts (note, not created by me, but slightly tweaked to work on the server).

Of course if you have any of the skins in the above packs that you've gotten separately, you may wish to back them up before installing, since these will overwrite them. They have had the single player stuff striped out, and the sounds toyed with to work in JA where possible (to avoid errors).

Great games... when I get more time I'm going to have to post some choice screenshots/demos of what went down.

Siege Destroyer will be added to the rotation once enough people install it (place in base folder).

Of course my dream would be to have regular games of "Asteroids Mod" but first things first!
