So, the skinny is this, I have a desktop computer. This computer is awesome and spiffy with a Nehalim processor and appropriate MB and DDR3 memory and has a Blu Ray drive in it, and a not top of the line but still quite good 8 series Nvidia card- DVI out only.
What this computer does not have is an HDCP compliant monitor. Both are sufficiently hi res, merely having no chip, and I'm not in the mind to get a new monitor just yet.
Which brings us to the problem. I have this drive, and a few Blu Ray movies, and currently no way to watch them outside of bootlegging.
So, what I ask is- not are there any ways to bypass the HDCP nonsense, as I know there are, but rather, what are people's suggestions to bypass the HDCP altogether? What work's best? What's the least intrusive? Etc. etc.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help.

Sorry, but the whole mechanism is designed so that you can't bypass it, and the very act of doing so is illegal in the United States. The only way to get around this is piracy: specifically, the AnyDVD HD software from SlySoft, which is located in Aruba (ie- outside the USA).
I know, it's bullshit that you have to engage in illegal piracy to watch a movie you legally own. But that's Hollywood and the spineless political system for you.

As far as I know, this device is 100% legal in the US. It converts HDMI/HDCP sources to be played on non-protected displays. VGA, Component, ETC. The physical connections appear to be DVI to VGA and through converters you can use it on HDMI and Component or other connectors.

Sadly, I thought this might happen. I was fully aware of those solutions already, I was just hoping someone might know of a workaround other than those so I could have more than two options.
