So, I'm doing Romeo & Juliet in 1969, for those who haven't seen my many Venting posts about it. We got our show shirts today, and they came plain white with black and gray text and graphics for us to tie-dye them to our liking.
So, this is my result. I've tie-dyed once before, and that one didn't come out too well. This is a huge leap in quality from that first one.
The front of the shirt.
Close-up of the front. The quote was from Jonny, our Mercutio. He's a bit of a spiritualist, and he randomly came up with it during our first rehearsal. When we were taking ideas for designs, we all agreed on using his quote, seeing as it perfectly fit the time frame of the play.
The back with the cast and crew list, barring the technical crew for some odd reason.
And there's me as Montague, leader of the hippies! It's the first time I've ever had my name at the top of any list, cast or crew.
So, my 9th show and I get to help design my own shirt! I'm quite proud to add this as my 5th show shirt.
Tie-dying gone right (probably not 56k safe)
