Hmm...possibly the Fiends are going to use V. to take control of the Gates the same way Redcloak plans to?

Well that's been the leading theory for sometime both here and on the OotS board, but I'm more concerned with what is going to happen with Tiamat. Just what is the IFCC going to have to give her to get her to back off.

Also just for fun: The breath weapons appear to go fire, lightning, acid, gas, and cold so the red dragon head is one line 2, blue on 3, black on 5, green on 8, and white on 11.

Hehe, took me a minute to remember why Tiamat would be so pissed... epic mage duels make me forget about very important plot points. ;)

Guys, the Tiamat thing is obviously just a joke which he threw in because everyone was talking about 'Tiamat will be really angry'. I seriously doubt it will be even remotely important in the grand scheme of things.

Or it's a Chekhov's Gun that will only go off long after we've forgoten about it.

Or, more probably, both.

You might query how it can be both at the same time. I refer you to the rest of tOotS.

Considering your username, the question is particularly funny.

Tiamat is a dragon goddess. V just wiped out a rather large proportion of the black dragons in his world. And he did so with the power he got from the Fiends.

V said he killed, by his estimates, 1/4 of all black dragonkind in the world. Tiamat would've noticed.

Slightly off topic idea. I've been pondering the Monster in the Dark and I've come up with a really weird notion. What if it is the Snarl? The Snarl might have gained some measure of intelligence, or at least created an avatar form for itself that is child like. Really out there I know but it'd be an awesome twist if that's what the Monster in the Dark turns out to be.

It's an interesting idea but I can't see how Xykon wouldn't know that, and if he did know it I can't see him treating the MitD the way that he does.

Can't be. The Monster is a well known creature to the hunters, the Circus, Xykon, Redcloak, etc. Nice thought though.

:banghead: damn ADHD forgetting small details like that. But now that you remind me yeah Tiamat might be just a bit miffed.

Ah yes, it was about time for the Linear Guild to make a reappearance. Are the dead/deserted/gone three scribbled out of that poster with red marker? I can't quite tell. Does this mean Hilgya stopped worshipping Loki, or that she was only a pawn because she followed Nale, or that she has in fact died off panel?

I like how the fiend that was negotiating with Tiamat is seriously the worse for wear in the first panel.

Or perhaps it's just that she left the Linear Guild.
"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs." - John Rogers

And, of course, they don't tell you anything useful until it will no longer make any damn difference. Taking a page from Ozymandias and Watchman, maybe? Or just thinking about this "Since I'm gonna die anyway, will you tell me your plan?"

Off-topic: For extra cruelty points, you tell them a false evil plan, let them escape (while still making it convincing), and laugh your ass off as they waste their time pissing off some crime lord that slighted you at some point.

Some day, there'll be a movie where the terrorists plant a cliche bomb with digital clock timer... set to go off when the timer reads 1:39 left.

New one is now up: War Council. It looks like things are finally getting in gear.
