Ten SSKs, I could probably understand. Ten full-blown SSGNs, on the other hand? Not so much. Even with the order cut down to just eight, I still have a hard time wrapping my head around that.
Speaking of nukes, I should probably get around to jump-starting my own nuclear programs. I never really got around into detailing Langley's energy infrastructure, but much of it is decidedly non-nuclear; most power plants are either solar, hydroelectric, or geothermal, but there are still a few fossil fuel plants lingering around. There are only a few nuclear power plants in Langley, all of which operate CSR-designed VVER-1000 pressurized water reactors purchased and commissioned during the 1980s. Since most of the VVERs have already met or exceeded the 35-year mark recommended for a major overhaul, it's time they get refurbished. Also, I'd like to have some new power plants commissioned to replace those few remaining fossil fuel plants.
On a related note, even though the Langley Air Force doesn't currently use nukes, its bomber pilots have already adopted
Utsuho Reiuji as their patron saint of nuclear hellfire in advance. With that said, perhaps the emblem of the Langley Armed Forces' soon-to-be-formed nuclear R&D corps might make a bit more sense...
[NOTE: I ran both the top and bottom part through an online translator; the top makes little sense, while the bottom means "Investigative about incremental improvement and development of special weapons" or something along those lines. I'd like some clarification (read: STAS HELP).]
I ship Eino Ilmari Juutilainen x Lydia V. Litvyak.
Phantasee: Don't be a dick.
Stofsk: What are you, his mother?
The Yosemite Bear: Obviously, which means that he's grounded, and that she needs to go back to sucking Mr. Coffee's cock.
