I've had lots of space backgrounds lately, mostly those Cassini shots of Saturn's moons.

However, after a particularly successful day, I decided to honour the Lord of Fear. That and I love the picture.

Then, it seems that the only way to survive is to use the means of the enemy, to rest survival upon what is expedient, to look the other way. Well, the answer to that is 'survival as what'? Until I figure out conky, I'm using GKrellM for a system monitor.

EDIT: conky now mostly figured out. except for that strange line break after the GPU temperature.

Since the thread is back up here again I might as well add my own. I finally got around to updating my desktop with a new picture I took.

I don't actually know where it is, and it is a little stretched width-wise to fit, but it's a nice shot I found online somewhere.

That would be the Alcántara Bridge.

Here's mine, the ex-USS Olympia which can be found at Penn's Landing, Philadelphia, PA on the Delaware River. I took the photo last month on a horrendously windy day.

Nice yacht. Reminds me (vaguely) of the yacht we see in The Island, that movie with what's-his-face and Scarlett Johanson.
