Pretty sure I mentioned a 5% GDP increase per year, not 2%. For those of use who've been in since the begining, that translates to a total of 47% increase over the last 8 years. If there was an effective crash in 2010-2011, resulting in a average of 0 for that year, and 5% every other year, that's 40% increase from game start. I've been calculating the year to year increase for myself as about 5%

BTW, the topic of Vulpesia was brought up a week ago. Upon thinking about it, I like Vulpesia as is - an NPC nation that was made in Game 1 by WesFox but now is the quintessential neutral nation in the middle of SDNWorld Eurasia, the Old Continent. Basically Nova Terra Switzerland. I'd have to have Vulpesia taken by some willy-nilly player who'll end up kowtowing to either the MESS, CATO or - heaven forbid - the goddamn Japanistanis.

I say Vulpesia gets to be a Special Place. Incorruptible. With bank accounts for dictators, mobsters and all-round shitpieces. And SDNW Scientologists maybe.

My take on it is thus: everybody else got to pick where they went. And since Czech has volunteered to take his own time out to update the map for us, I think that should make up for him technically re-entering the game. And since he's working with Steve and if Steve is gonna be a mod, I don't foresee issues.

You know, I had those done to my B-52s. They were since retired, but since I have the Nova Terra version of AMARC I could probably send some your way. Since they came out of retirement once before to do the LLE thing, they'd be the B-52s which won't die. Zombie BUFFs! How can Shroomania refuse that?

Truthfully? I haven't bothered (yet). .8 - 1% for population growth is about right for a first world nation. Third world nations tend to have higher birthrates.

Calculation of GDP increase: (100%+average%increase/yr)number of years. More accurate would be to use the actual %increase per year, rather than assuming just a 5% average (which would cause it to flucuate up and down a bit more in % increase).

It's chief advantage is in its weather-resistant stealth coatings, which make it difficult to track while not requiring excessive maintenance, and its low cost compared to true 5th generation aircraft. So, for an as yet to be determined price (depending on how many you want), you get a single-seat, single-engine fighter with 4 internal mountings and a gun pod. After market additions are avaliable that enable the missile racks and gun pod to mount and fire nearly anything you want.

Raj, $1.1 Trillion? I thought you were a Principality, yeah, but a jump from $800B to $1100B is sounds a bit over the overall 20% or so increase of the last nine years you've postulated. As of 2015 or 2016 I had my GDP raised from $1.24T to $1.28T, since I figured that the collapse of world trade from the Pathogen War and the resulting economic woes would do a major number on economic growth.

That would be an error on my part. For some damn reason I thought the game had been going on for 17 years this morning.

For nine years I'd be around $950 billion without calculating for compounded growth.

Edit: And if the standard is to be 5% a year that's more like $1160 billion assuming I'm not screwing up my math.

Klavostan hasn't purchased new equipment in ages and are still running around with early model Gripen's as far as I can tell. They might be interested in buying your fighter, at least in limited numbers.

The national army or whatever probably buys from Tonkin, but individual merc captains buy from whomever they want. I imagine they probably band together for large orders to drive costs down.

Damn, Klavostan's orbat is in need or an overhaul. A hell of a lot has happened in that nation since it was updated.

On that note historical inflation shoudl still be hitting the world economy to the tune of 2% or so annually so the 5% growth would be an EFFECTIVE growth of only about 3% give or take. As an aside that same inflation should get factored in to the pricing for most major purchases. I think I mentioend this on the price tag of the STAR class of vessels but I've basically inflation adjusted them. Likewise most other new hardware out there should be significantly more expensive (in 2017 dollars) against equivalent generation equipment in the real world (2009 dollars).

I might add that the OD started with 80mil, lost 500k during the Biowar conflict, and absorbed 10 million from Shepistan/St. Kitteridge and 25 million from East Shepistan.

The Grand total of the other member states of OICAS might equal that of the Old Dominion, but only with Sirnoth and Augustine thrown in.
