I'm actually kind of excited about this now and looking forward to it, it seems genuinely good, but then it does have Carlisle and i'd watch most things with him in them. Looks like they're going all out on the pilot episodes as well, splashing the cash out on some nice SFX.

I just took some time to look at the pictures showing the new gate and that corridor.
Is it just me or are they going for a gritty steampunk design?

So far things look good and if the writers don't pull horrid reset-button/deus-ex-machina stories this might really become my new favorite among scifi shows.

Cue Unit-01 ramming half the Lance of Longinus down Adam's head and a bemused Gendo, "Wrong end, son."

As noted on the first page, it's primarily a return to the Geiger-influenced Ancient design aesthetic that was prevalent in early SG-1, but was never really shown on SGA.

I still say it's more Art Nouveau than anything else. :P

I kind of wonder what they will use for a theme song.I wasn't really against the Enterprise themessong, but I did get a lottle sick of it by the fourth season, same way i got tired of Smallville's themesong. In the trailer they went for a pop style song.

I'm hoping for something instrumental; David Arnold and Joel Goldsmith's themes are too widely associated with SG for them to simply go hip-hop/pop, but what do I know...

The song in the trailer is from an early 90's Emo band, hardly pop-music, but I get what you mean.

IIRC they are using Joel Goldsmith still, but the score will be more "contemporary" rather than the cinematic themes of SG-1 and Atlantis.

From that I take that they will essentially be doing a battlestar, a bit more electronic (we heard some guitar riffs that I don't think fit with the song) with contemporary influences, but we'll still get Goldsmiths scores (also evidenced in the first half of the trailer).
