He's blatantly only played only about the first four missions, and had decided to hate it based on the artstyle before doing so.

Which gets even funnier and more pathetic when you realize that there a vast number of things he could have actually targeted. The ending is a perfect example.

Is Yatzhee that bad of a reviewer?

Objectively? Yeah, probably.

You really only watch it for the jokes, snark, and visual gags, which he is good at.

To be fair to Yahtzee, he does have to review a lot of games and make a new video each week among whatever else he does. Listening to the 1-Up guys makes it seem like any new J-RPG means you have to drop everything just to play it and review it. Also he doesn't like J-RPGs and getting someone to make the funny about stuff they hate only works for so long. Besides, it's not like he takes himself seriously.

Now let's go back to talking about how Selvaria is love.

He's not a reviewer. He's a comedy writer. Lesson: learned.

By the fans (creepy, but funny) or by Maximillian (Which is odd. She is a valkyrur- you know, the rationale your family has for holding the crown- Marry her damn it!).

Don't forget about her weakness from behind. If you know what I mean. Also thanks to Xenosaga, every good JRPG needs a character that can outlive the popularity of the game itself just like KOS-MOS. Those figure licenses ain't cheap.

Outlive the franchise?

Well, there is the Capcom vs. and the Super Robot Wars game...

So are you saying she's Namco's Morrigan?

And about a zillion PVC statues, of course.

"KOS MOS is awesome"

"You've played Xenosaga?"

"Zeanuwhat?"

As for Valkyria. It looked like a really cool game at first and the demo really impressed me. Unfortunately the demo is basically 90% of what the game has to share. I was pretty bored by the time the 3rd mission rolled around. And the inexcusably bad writing was what finally made me stop playing it. I ended up getting so discouraged by it I went back and started playing Metal Gear Solid 4. Now *that* is insulting. I've shunned a linear game with bad writing for an even more linear game with bad writing!

For some reason I find that whole line of discussion disturbing and off. Why the hell do people buy PVC statues?

Well, you can't fault their honesty :P

I know, I've seen it before and it is bad. It looks like a badly mangled version of Europe... okay it is a badly mangled version of Europe.

Same reason you would buy any statue, really: To look at it.

Anyone else find it ironic that even though one side is supposed to be the German/Prussian analogue, the other side actually holds Germany?
