Also, yay for dying in cutscenes again!
I never encountered dying in cutscenes in previous titles luckily (apart from one time in flashpoint when you first get 'captured' the guys shot me just after the cinematic randomly...) does it happen a lot?
The physics in flashpoint was always a bit odd for tanks, the engines were always horribly underpowered and the tanks were a bit low on air resistance so you coud go down a long gentle slope and hit around 150mph, but then you're totally unable to stop.
Also its £19.99 from amazon and £16 from somewhere else on amazon new. If it reaches £10 like DoW2 did last week I'll probably get it.
Apparently nobody can see you without a signature.
Honestly, you would think it would be impossible for the player to die in a cutscene now that they have a god mode editor command they could apply during it.

No no, that would take away from the realism!

I just got the 1.03 patch, which actually came out on the 5th but I missed it because I didn’t have steam running online. This patch is a major improvement in terms of both game play tweaks and graphical fixes. Most of the lingering graphical bugs, particularly from destroyed buildings and textures in urban areas are gone, view from aircraft noticeably improved and the game is much much less choppy even in very demanding situations (aircraft flying against a shitload of ground targets).
For anyone waiting for the game to be properly patched, I think this is it. Certainly the game is now in a state that would have been actually fit for a normal release.

Does it fix the "radio messages in cutscenes" bug?
Credo!

Has anyone found that they can't issue commands when "story" radio messages are playing? I had to cheat out of the mission where you need to make it to the CDF camp because my guys kept shooting up a group of Russians in the middle of the exposition, revealing our position and causing every Hind in the area to zoom over and kill us.
Sloppy presentation from BIS? lol, no way

Oh, and another thing: Am I the only one that gets and invisible silenced rifle M4 in the demo (when you're done with most of the tutorial steps and go out and make a raid on the village still in the training level)?

I think so but I am not certain on that. Unfortunately having played more I have found that some of the destroyed building bugs still exist, particularly with the very large unique buildings. Also audio bugs (though I don’t have an audio card so this might just be me) with gunfire sounds cutting in and out, and a few minor graphical bugs with trees have now appeared. Still the patch is a huge step forward.

I never played the demo, but I’ve certainly never seen that happen with any gun in the full game. However sometimes the game does spawn weapons or vehicles with only the basic texture, or just a gray default texture, and not full rendering, but this bug usually resolves itself fairly quickly.
