Keep in mind that, at this point, the Infoceptor Gang has nothing else but semantic arguments and attempts to make a "moral victory" (they may have beat us, but WE have faith!). Well, let 'em have their faith... I'll take intelligence over faith any day.

I'm almost peeved at them because after I argued my points they made exactly one (1) attempt to refute them and then never even tried to counter a minimum broadside firepower into the TT range.

Isn't respect usually earned?
Plus, Mutual Respect (TM) isn't something that you have. It's not a quality, it's a relation between people. So you could say "John and Claire have no mutual respect" but you can't say "John has no mutual respect!", it's very moronic.

Also, mutual means that it applies to both parts (means John doesn't respect Claire and VICE-VERSA), this only shows how retarded people can be.

"You seem to have a lack of respect for IDIOTS" would be a proper use of the word respect. Note the absence of the word "mutual" (which would invalidate it because you need two to tango) and also note that there's a clarification about who exactly the lack of respect is for.

When sci-fi fans start talking about the need for "faith" to make sense out of their arguments, they've lost. They're just too fucking stupid to realize it.

I never thought I'd see people unabashedly treat Trek as a religion. Sure, we all know that a lot of them do that, but to publicly ADMIT it? Proudly? WTF?

There are a lot of stupid people out there DW. You know that. Many of those idiots are very proud of their stupidity and ignorance.

The opposite of being logical isn't faith, it's being illogical. So saying 'I never thought I'd see people unabashedly treat Trek as a religion. Sure, we all know that a lot of them do that, but to publicly ADMIT it? Proudly? WTF?' is pure, pointless BS, and you know it is.

Boggy B is an idiot. Ignore him.

He thinks that Transphasic Torps 'phase out of the universe' to pass effortlessly through matter and that this 'theory' *cough, cough* is more reasonable than the theory that the torps simply punched through the cube.

One thing I love about this particular Tard is that he plays the name game when it suits him meaning when it is most advantageous for Trek. Earlier in the thread you guys trounce them on the meaning of Isoton and they go on to say that OBVIOUSLY that is not what Isoton means blah blah blah...but when it comes to transphasic...well the name says it all right???

Its apart of that factionalism. IIRC, religion is a kind of factionalism.

(yes and I realize Factionalism is probably not a real word, bite me.)

Especially since 'Transphasic' doesn't really mean anything. Everything in Trek is based on frequency and phase.
He tried to use the name to connect it with the phase cloak to which I provided a screen shot proving that TPTs are NOT phase cloaked. He agreed that they weren't cloaked but still insisted that they were "phased out of the physical universe"

The only times when someone STATES that they do not want to use logic are when they are either irrational or religiously motivated. The hijacking attempt with regards to "faith" is just another demonstration of that.
