Hiya.
For the life of me, I simply can't edit A2 odf files. Every time I try
to make changes to a file, the thing wants to be saved as a text
document, not an odf. I'm clueless about this stuff. Please help.
I also understand that there are at least two ST vs. SW mods
out for A2 now. Has anyone tried them?

Re: Help with editing Armada 2 odfs!
Thanks for the help. For the life of me, I can't figure out what's
going on with those files...if I try to save them in the odf folder,
access is denied. But if I save them to another location, like
desktop, I have no problems! Weird...
And good question: I wanted to change them just to correct some
of the more obvious screwy stats. For example, a GCS has more
shield power than a Sovereign, and a Galor has them
BOTH beat! Talk about stupid. I wanted to make the Cardie
ship weaker relative to those two (and lots of others), but make
the ship a faster, less costly build. That way, the Cardies can have
lots of warships, only they perform in a more canon manner.
I also wanted to alter some of the build files, to eliminate most
of the really stupid original ships Activision cooked up for A2.
The only original design I really liked was the Klingon Fek'lhr...
and some of the Romulan ships are pretty, but we know their
fleet is Warbird-heavy.
