SG1939 Poll: Teal'c or Bra'tac
Ok, I admit it. I'm a bit stumped on one part. I'm obviously building a 1939 SG-team, but I can't decide one thing:
Will Teal'c join it, or will Bra'tac? I really can't decide, they both have their plusses and minuses. So I'll let you readers decide.

I like the idea of Bra'tac joining, and Teal'c filling roughly the same role as Ryak. Just my $0.02.
I had a Bill Maher quote here. But fuck him for his white privelegy "joke".

Re: SG1939 Poll: Teal'c or Bra'tac
While I think Teal'c would be more "fun" to read in this new context, I think I'd like to see a younger Bra'tac on the SGMF1 team.

Bra'tac. You have to make it Bra'tac.

Re: SG1939 Poll: Teal'c or Bra'tac
Actually, Bra'tac in 1939 was younger than Teal'c was when he joined SG-1, and is in fact only about 70ish which Teal'c is 40ish, so by Jaffa standards he's still in his prime and in fact could probably be considered to have a few more decades to go before he hits his peak.
Still, definitely have to go with Bra'tac.

Re: SG1939 Poll: Teal'c or Bra'tac
Yeah, I checked the ages. Bra'tac was born in 1864, so in 1939 he would be 75 years old. Teal'c was born in 1899, and is a 'young' Jaffa of 40 years old. He joined SG1 in 1997 at the age of 98, so... yeah. A very young Bra'tac.
I'm not entirely sure Bra'tac and Teal'c even KNEW each-other for that long, but what the hell.

Re: SG1939 Poll: Teal'c or Bra'tac
I voted for Bra'tac cause it seems to fit with the 1939 feel. Only problem I see is that he'd no longer be first Prime and perhaps Teal'c would face repercussions for his master becoming Sho'va. Maybe they should both join SGMF1? The SGMF1 should be larger then the SG teams since it's Marine Corps and we tend to do things at the squad level. Three fire teams per gate transit? Command team Chesty, Indy, Einstein and Bra'tac. Second Fire team Teal'c on point, team leader, BAR gunner and red shirt. Third team specialists or fire power as needed. That's my thought.

Re: SG1939 Poll: Teal'c or Bra'tac
Voted Teal'c, though I could easily go for Bra'tac as well. Creates a nice link with the canon show (which has both pluses and negatives), and it would be nice to see a bit more of Teal'c in this story. Also, Bra'tac is more useful if he maintains his cover as a double agent, since he is I recall Apophis's second in command at this point.

Re: SG1939 Poll: Teal'c or Bra'tac
though Bra'tac would be awesome, I have to go with Teal'c. I dunno, something about the chapter before the recent update made me think that there'd be some hilarious interaction potential between him and Einstein. I mean, I can almost imagine some of his reactions.

Re: SG1939 Poll: Teal'c or Bra'tac
I too vote for Teal'c. Bra'tac could always say that T was killed by Horus, and that's why he didn't come back. Having B being First Prime to Apophis and a double agent seems to be the best way for further stories.

...and after "unending" Teal'c is really getting on. use Bra'Tac, more room for character exploration. If you're bringing Nazi's in though Teal'c is more obviously a minorityCaptainChewbacca wrote:Yeah, I checked the ages. Bra'tac was born in 1864, so in 1939 he would be 75 years old. I vote Bra'tac. I like teal'c but he should be on another sg team or something.
Re: SG1939 Poll: Teal'c or Bra'tac
Teal'c, because this is about new experiments and frontiers, and T is still young. He has a chance to develop different personality aspects in response to contact with the humans/Tau'ri Forget him being a Star Wars Fan, bring on Buck Rogers and the Marx Brothers!
Bre'tac is already established in Apophis' hierarchy, and (as was pointed out previously,) he will be of more use as a double-agent (Setting up loyalists to take the fall and such) opening up a whole (potential) story arccovering his espionage while leaving Teal'c to develop a different personality from the one we know and love while still providing a link to the show.
I'd prefer Teal'c, but its your story. Great Job, and good luck.
