Megatron vs Galvatron

For all you Transformers fans, who would win in a battle Galvatron or Megatron.

Lets take in to account all the parameters.

Firepower: We've seen Galvatron reduce Starscream to a pile of dust, obliterate the planet's Thrull and Goo, and cause a major nuclear storm on Jupiter. Galvatron has destroyed space stations and starships single handedly.

Megatron on the other hand seems to have rather weak firepower. In theory his fusion cannon can decimate entire cities, but we have never seen this on screen. Optimus Prime has survived direct hits from the cannon without taking a single bit of visible damage. We've never seen Megatron inflict as much damage to an Autobot as Galvatron did to Starscream in the movie, (though there is still speculation whether Ironhide was dusted by Megatron in the spacecraft battle scene in the movie.)

Millitary intelligence and tactics: Megatron held Cybertron through terror for millions of years, obliterating opposition left and right, eventually conquering the planet by 2005. He's had quite a few crafty plots to defeat the Autobots.

Galvatron on the other hand was an insane nut, who barely accomplished anything, launching rediculous and not thought out plans, and allowed himself to be duped by the Quintessons repeatedly. We was defeated repeatedly by Rodimus Prime, an inexperienced young punk. At least Optimus was a seasoned combatant, thus explaining why Megatron was so often defeated by him.

G- Can turn entire decepticons into ash with a single shot.
M- Can blow big holes through lesser autobots.

Advantage Galvatron

Transformation:
G- Some kind of Machinegun
M- Big pistol

Advantage Galvatron

Smarts:
G- Repeatedly defeated by Rodimus Prime, the biggest wanker to ever command the autobots.
M- Survived for years against Optimus Prime.

Advantage Megatron

Kills:
G- Shot Robert Stack and Starscream, but Stack survived.
M- Shot and killed almost all of the autobots, including Optimus Prime.

Advantage Megatron

Coolness:
G- Big multi-colored robot (with the voice of Leonard Nemoy.)
M- Big silver and black robot.

Advantage Megatron (silver is better than purple... period)

Galvatron in the movie was just as kickass as Megatron, but the show Galvie wasn't half as good.

And let us not forget that Megatron's weapon had an ultra-cool name: the FUSION CANNON!

Can you possibly have a cooler name for a personal weapon than that? Galvatron didn't even bother naming his arm gun, and ... it was orange.

I have to go with Galvatron. Sure, he got thrown helluva far by Rodimus and went insane, but he's just cooler. And he killed Starscream, something that Megatron should have done long before.

Besides, Megatron wasn't stir crazy. Which is why only the Nimoy Galvatron was good, the post-movie one was completely batty.

Personally, I've never trusted men (or in this case, a male-like robot) who name parts of their anatomy.

But hell, it's Megatron! I'll let it slide this time.

Megatron wins....no problems.

Galv was just Megatron with all his flaws magnified. As for him destroying Starscream with 1 shot the comics claimed this only happened because Unicron was supplementing his power. (did'nt help him much when Rodimus Punk kicked his ass....the shame....the shame)

Mr. Fusion Cannon can hook up to a black hole, I think that way, Megatron wins, I never liked Galvatron that much, orange gun, not very good looking compared to Mr. Fusion Cannon!!!

i like megatron
but galvatron, despite his mulitcoloured indication to being inclined the other way, seriously over powers megs..

in an issue of the uk transformers comic, in which galavatron went back in time (aghhh) to construct a weapon to destroy unicron, megatron blasted him point blank range..the barrel of mr.fusion cannon in contact with galvatrons chestplate.. galavatron got up, with no damage whatsoever.

anyway id rate shockwave against megatron..
not only did shockwave beat the dinobots more convincingly.. but he turns into a much bigger.. and cooler looking "flying" gun.
