Updating drivers

Post by Setzer »

I've been trying to play some Batman: Arkham Asylum on my computer, and it usually stalls or crashes a few minutes in. The game tells me my graphics driver is out of date, but I made sure I downloaded the latest one. I found a program called driver robot, but the website it comes from is given the same Web of Trust rating as spam and pop up ads. Should I use a driver updater program or hunt down the ones I need one by one?

Delete whatever program you think you downloaded and just go hunt for the ONE video driver you're going to need. If you've got an ATI chipset, go to ati.com, if you've got an nVidia chipset, nVidia.com is for you.

If you have an onboard card or have a different manufacturer (i'd be surprised by that latter), you can probably find what you need on their respective websites.

If the latest drivers don't work, that's pretty much the game's fault, not yours.

Ford Prefect: Maybe there can be a twist ending where Vlad shows up for the one on one duel, only to discover that Sun Tzu ignored it and burnt all his crops.
