Heh. I see someone got a copy of How To Draw Comics the Marvel Way.

OK. Now look at what you draw from your own mind and look at Thor, Cap and Fury that you copied from the book. Do you see the difference? You need to work of your physical form more. HTDCTMW is a fine book to learn from, and copy out of. I still pick it up every now and then to remind myself of certain things and still to learn and practice.

Also, don't be afraid to trace and copy. Half of being able to draw is just remembering what things look like. Tracing and copying helps with that memory.

Trymon's outstreched hand is wonky, his thumb especially. It looks like he's going for the football (US) stiff-arm rather than trying to reach, grab, or beckon. Check the pose in the mirror and see how his hand would probably look, and try to draw that.

I love the Marvel ones, as well. How To Draw Comics The Marvel Way occupies a special place on my art bookshelf. I learned more about comic book art (and artwork in general) from that book than just about any other.
