Zone of the Enders

Post by Cal Wright »

Alright, the demo to the sequel is fucking awesome and I can't wait to get my hands on the full version. Woot. However, this is not what the thread is about. My friend originally had Zone of the Enders. It rocked. So after hearing there was a sequel I decided to fetch myself a copy of the first one. Of course I'm rocking in it and busting ass left and right. However I have encountered a hitch. I was able to disable one of the EPS antennas. EPS 1. Now I get to EPS 2 and thier is a force field blocking the underground entrance. I have travelled to City 1 and both Town 1 and Town 2. I managed to obtain some passcode thing, yet I have no idea what it does. My friend mentioned it might be the point were I commandeer a Raptor. Anyways, if anyone out there can lend me a hand in this, let me know. For those who have not played this game, run out and get it. Zone of the Enders for Playstation 2.

I haven't played the game sinse it first came out, but I do remember that yes, that is the part where you take control of a raptor. From memory I think you need some kind of remote control thingie from one of the other towns in order to control it. The raptor that you take control of is underground somewhere.

OH yeah, I forgot about that.

I suppose it would be good for stability to have the pilot at the centre of gravity :P

haha, in an interview about the second one the director said that it was done purposely like that....

Anywho, the second one is going to kick some fucking ass!!! I've had the demo myself and it's just awesome.. and insane... and everything seems to explode..
Though we are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,--
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

I wasn't really that much of a fan of the first one, there seemed to be only two moves that were particularly useful.

The two moves are the burst hellfire were lasers shoot out from all directions. This is especially useful when the raptors flying with sheilds come out. Keeps them from using thier dual laser swords until you can get in close. The other is just the damn sword slashing. Hit the button like hell. I use all types of techniques when I play though. I'll dash up or down, and it'll dodge me off to the side, then I'll come in for a dagger attack. It's wicked shit. I haven't seen controls like that since Kabuki Quantum Fighter for the NES. Rock. I'll try that out. Anyone happen to know were that Raptor is located?
