So the liberal left controls the media, and liberal secular professors control all education?
What parallel world did this artist come from, and can I go there?

No, she's good. All of those people have annotations if you click on the picture and mouse around the detailed version.
Yes, I know. Which is why I was questioning the idea that the left/right sides were intended as some sort of good/evil division.
Well she was a dirty whore who got pregnant before she married, she was also thinking of murdering an innocent baby, so it's more Right=Right Left=Wrong.

Given the description it seems more like she's the only ray of hope in the dank, dark, evil pit of despair she's in.
Notice how the evil lawyers, journalists, politicians and Emperor Palpatine swarm around her ready to force her to abort her precious holy gift of a baby given by GOD.

What I can't wrap my mind around is the near constant contradictions in the painting. One of many examples:

"Teddy Roosevelt, patroit, believed in strong Federal Government and foreign policy." Then, literally inches away the artist bemoans Hunter vs. Lessee which establishes Federal legal supremacy. Crazy I can deal with, inconsistent and contradictory is just annoying.

The Cthulhu one is legitimately cool.

There are lots of things wrong with this painting, but the one that stands out most to me is that Frederick Douglass is waaaaaay in the back there, while for some reason Christa McAuliffe is front-and-center. Let's think about the relative historical importance and contributions of those individuals. Not that McAuliffe isn't someone who deserves remembrance, but she doesn't leap to mind when thinking of the most important figures of our history.

Also, something sounds off about him not being allowed to use King's image. Suppose it's possible, but since when are images of MLK tightly regulated? He's a (dead) public figure.

This is the guy they want to use to win over "young people?" Are they completely daft? I'd rather vote for a pile of shit than a Jesus freak social regressive.
Here's hoping that his political career goes down in flames and, hopefully, a hilarious gay sex scandal.

I must have retyped this reply like six times. I just couldn't find the words or humor to appropriately describe my reactions to this. So, I'll just say wow.

I guess living in the Bay Area... I just don't run into these people. I said it in another thread... they are like a myth to me. It is just such a ridiculous viewpoint it is hard to believe it is real.

What does she deserve remembrance for in particular? Being a tragic victim of NASA not understanding the risks of its own launch vehicle? She died in what could be described as a hyped-up vehicular failure. A space-bus accident. Thousands of car crashes every year are more tragic than her because they're less likely. She's such a marginal figure, I didn't even know her name and I will have forgotten it by tomorrow.

but a foolish samurai warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me. Before the final blow

seeks to return to the past, and undo the future that is Aku...

I liked how the point that made Kennedy "great" is his quote, "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country".

But that is SOCIALISM!!!
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!

That's kinda what I was getting at...however, quite a few people (including my parents) are still really sensitive about the Challenger explosion, and people tend to remember that it claimed the life of a "non-professional" astronaut who hadn't lived a life confronted with such risk. So I don't want to be too flip here.

But yeah, she's not actually historically important and it's boggling why she's there, except that she lets him get a two-in-one bankshot of "went to space" and "white woman schoolteacher-martyr."

Ah yes, when one thinks of "shameful" Supreme Court rulings, Marbury v. Madison and Gibbons v. Ogden really springs to mind....

The real question raised for me is 'will Jesus let the White City fall'?

I think the answer is clear.
