Uncharted 2

Post by TheMuffinKing »

Uncharted 2 is out! Who's been playing it? I've killed most of my free time playing today and I must say, it is quite an improvement over the first one. If you have a PS3, you ow it to at least rent this. It's awesome!

I'll add more after I beat it but I'm still going to request that plot points be spoilerized. I'll say this though, the levels look great and mind the miniguns!

I'm curious about this game as well. I want a BRD and from the looks of this game, I may just make the PS3 that option.

Hit it.

This game is awesome. I found it to be a lot of fun and I have very little negative remarks about it. Naughty Dog (the developer) really took the time to iron out potential issues and did a great job making a stable and fun game.

The graphics rock, I've seen few other games that take place in such detailed and vibrant locations, each area is a work of art and feels "real". Gameplay is done well, the cover and weapon systems are fun to use and often get compared to gears of war in execution. In this department, U2 has a ton of guns and all of them are fun to use.

The game is heavily dependent on puzzles and jumping, but it remains interesting and the views are fantastic. I found it to be a lot of fun moving Drake around like a spider monkey on the sides of buildings and stuff.

The story is cool, the original Uncharted is what the last Indiana Jones movie should have been (IMHO) and the second is similar but better presented. The voice acting is very well done as is the pacing and the cutscenes are fun to watch.

I haven't tried the multiplayer yet and I just returned the rental. I'll pick up U2 for keeps as soon as I get paid.

I wholeheartedly recommend this game, not just because it does a good job of showing the PS3's capabilities, but because it is a great game regardless of what you play it on. Find somewhere and try the demo, maybe gamestop or somewhere has it on their demo ps3's.

I felt totally robbed when I discovered that it doesn't have any split-screen co-op.

:wtf: Uh. . .I'm pretty sure Uncharted 2 is a PS3 exclusive. That said I've played the demo a few days ago and it didn't seem too bad, but I'm still on the fence about picking it up. I was planning on picking it up through the 'buy 2 get 1 free' game sale Toys R Us has, but the fuckers are sold out of Uncharted.

I can see how I was misleading. What I was trying to say is that this game is great, even if it weren't a ps3 exclusive.

I've never had such a good time in FPS since Goldeneye. If they they could it 480i, imagine it in 1080p.

(Now I really shouldn't be hijacking, but I promised myself not to get a PS3 until law school calms down a bit so...)

Halo and Gears of War do split screen pretty well, as does Army of Two. Rainbow 6, GRAW, and Resistance: Fall of Man are also good for co-op and local competitive play. Now that PS3's are down in price and developers are starting to produce fun games that take advantage of the system, I'm sure that you won't regret the purchase.

Goldeneye had a cooperative campaign? I don't remember that.

EDIT:

Oh yeah, Uncharted 2. This game has a great single player campaign. The only complaint I have is that in the later stages of the game it can get really repetitive fighting dozens of the same enemies over and over again.

Multiplayer should be a blast; the beta multiplayer was fun.

Goldeneye had multiplayer split screen co-op, but no single player co-op.

Just completed the game today. It was an awsome game, with tons of stuff to do, great graphics, a nice enemy AI that challenges you quite alot in some parts, and a fairly good story to boot.

Well worth the money to get just for the single player, but we also have quite alot of added content in the multiplayer part witch is very well done. Good challenging maps that favors both sides equally, so it all comes down to player skills for both sides. One of the best if not the best PS3 game to come out this year.
