"The government will take over all healthcare, then take over all the hospitals and retirement homes, then take over every aspect of our lives, and all our freedom will be gone!"

Well, they've been spending the last few months comparing Obama to Hitler, so I suppose that it's only natural that they'd bring up the Holocaust sooner or later.
I also find it hilarious that the banner on the left of the picture is being held upside-down. You really couldn't parody these people any better than they do to themselves.
In the recent elections, two Democratic governors were ousted in favor of Republican governors. They've been acting like it was winning the Presidency back. Forgotten in the election was the defeat of a right-wing anti-tax bill in one state, but most importantly, the moderate Republican representative from New York was pushed out of her race by the screaming hysterical branch of right-wingers.
So I guess it's a seat held by Republicans for years and years, and they would have kept it, too, most likely-- but the conservatives wanted some hard-right freak to run so the GOP quietly dropped support of their moderate and the candidate dropped out. The Democrat crushed the Conservatard freakjob.
So more and more, the GOP are listening to these screaming lunatics like the ones in the picture, and it looks like in many smaller races around the country the loon brigade is seeking to push out moderate Republicans in favor of unwinnable nuts. The GOP civil war is begun, and the hard-right nuts are gaining a lot of ground. We'll so who gets to walk away with the "Republican" brand name-- the Jesus freaks or the Corporatard Ayn Ranters.
The Corporate Fellators may just go to the Libertarian party and turn them into something viable, but either way I don't see them being able to get all their Fruit Loops in one bowl in time for a united front in 2010.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
