The average American right-winger does not realize what a vast, unregulated place America is compared to a lot of countries that are not third world holes. Even the wildest dreams of the Democratic Party don't come anywhere close to the bizarre Orwellian world they envision, since the Democrats are about as much in the corporate pocket as the Rethugs.
And, of course, they'd have to start among their own, because GW Bush has done more to push an Orwellian Socialist agenda (Patriot Act) than any "liberal" could have.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!
