I mean really - we all know that every brand of Christianity today involves picking and choosing what to pay attention to and what to ignore. Hell, they have to, simply because of all of the contradictions in their imaginary man's rule book.

They follow the rules they're comfortable with, and ignore the rest, while pretending that they're being totally consistent. Same as Prejean did.

It doesn't say women CAN masturbate, it just only prohibits the 'spilling of a man's seed upon the ground'. Women don't have that problem when they masturbate, so they aren't prohibited under this tenet. As to where, I'd guess Leviticus.

And if you really wanted to go with a literalistic interpretation, guys can fap too, so long as they catch the semen before it makes a mess on the ground. For all we know, it could have been a prohibition against uncleanliness rather than masturbation. In a similar vein, there are no direct prohibitions against homosexuality, just an admonishment against 'laying with man as one lays with woman'. In which case it seems more a dictate against crossdressers than gays.

Yeah, if anything the whole thing is an injunction against pulling out rather than masturbating. And yeah, since the whole thing says nothing about women, this could make the next big thing in ways to get around prohibitions against sex like the whole 'You're still technically a virgin if you do anal' thing you occasionally see floating around.
