I haven't picked up issue #5 yet, but I love the cybertronian versions of our classic Transformers. If only Hasbro would take the hint.

The first issue for TWW sold around 80.000 copies. That is a very good figure for a comic.
Hasbro was asked if they could make TWW toys, they said something like "maybe, we see, depending on the sales."

What the hell is so bad about Armada? Sure, the toys aren't as great as Beast Wars or RID, but if they had been released at the end of G1 or any time during G2 they would have kicked ass. The fans are just spoiled, thats all.

And the cartoon isn't any cheesier than RID was and certainly has a better story than Beast Machines.

Besides that Sure, the toys aren't as great as Beast Wars or RID, but if they had been released at the end of G1 or any time during G2 they would have kicked ass. The fans are just spoiled, thats all.

The toy really isn't that bad. Certainly better than some toys that have come out. I just don't like the fact it has to come out with the Armada Label.

Hmm guess I was thinking about the toy when it came to Superion. Well Hot Spot had red eyes. All the Predacons had yellow eyes. Wildrider had blue eyes. Breakdown had yellowish eyes. Motormaster had purple eyes. Dead End had a purple visor. Shockwave had one yellow eye. Onslaught had an orange visor... must I go on?

Fortress Maximus had yellow eyes. I'll have to look through my old G1 toys when I get back home again (end of the month) to examine the rest. I don't even remember the NAMES of half of them any more. Anyone know of a website with pictures of the toys with names?

Well let's see. I enjoyed G1, I enjoyed Beast Wars (when I could actually catch it on TV), and I definately enjoyed the crowning Jewel that is Transformers the Movie.

Armada just... SUCKS!!! None of the characters are genuinely entertaining. Only one of them has a good voice actor (whom I cannot even remember the name of), and the animation is below par.

Actually both Prime and Megatron are done by the same actors that did the respective roles in BW. The animation isn't any worse than RID and is certainly cleaner than old G1. Like I said before, we got spoiled with season 2 and 3 of BW. People like the old G1 series only because its nostalgic, not because it had any great writing or animation.

How many times did original Megs announce he wanted to conquor the universe?

Are characters in Armada idiots? Sure. The same could be said for G1.

How many times did Starscream tell Megatron TO HIS FACE that he wanted to overthrow him? If you're planning a coup, you do NOT tell the guy you're planning it against.

Do the characters in Armada use a lot of pointelss cliches and trendy catch words that will be out of style in a year? Yes. But so did Spike.

For every complaint you make about Armada, the same can be said about G1.
